Popularly known as the "Saturday Market", even though it occurs both on Saturdays and Sundays in summer, this street fair offers a collection of local Alaska-made products, along with the usual street fair stuff. For the tourists, this could be a good alternative for your gift purchases to the schlock sold downtown. Nothing really jumped for me, and the market isn't really all that big, but we spent an interesting 20 minutes strolling the market before moving on. I wouldn't plan you day around this event, but if you are in the area, it's worth a stroll.
This market is near the train station, the Hilton Hotel, and the Anchorage Grand Hotel. Some food is served, but when we went through, choices were limited, and we didn't stay to eat. It is officially known as the "Anchorage Market and Festival".
