We stayed at Creekwood for one night and we were very happy with the cleanliness and the quality of service. The person at the desk was extremely helpful in assisting to plan our outings. The upkeep of the place is not stellar - there is need for some repair-work in the rooms and around the building - but all in all it was a good experience

We stayed in July, and the room had virtually everything we needed. Kitchen with new sink and new appliances, the flooring and paint were new. Nice furnishings and comfy bed. It was spacious and the front desk help, Amber, was friendly and knowledgable. Great value. I can't give it more stars as the location is not in downtown.

Hello,

We appreciate your recent stay at Creekwood Inn. I am glad that you enjoyed your room. I apologize that the bed was squishy and the pillows were to firm. I will look into replacing the beds which need it. We hope to see you again in the future.

The hotel doesn't look like much from the outside. It's an older rustic building - pretty basic. I booked a small suite since the regular queen rooms were sold out. The suite had a kitchenette, which looked newer than the rest of the room. It had a convection microwave, dishes, and a full-size fridge. The beds, however, were too soft and seemed old, and there were only thin foam pillows, so not the most comfortable sleep. The sound carried badly, too - the walls seemed thin. I could hear my neighbors' conversations and got woken up in the night repeatedly by planes taking off, footsteps upstairs, and sirens in the distance. I recommend using earplugs if you don't have an alarm to wake up to (I did, unfortunately).

It's also on the far edge of town, so you'll definitely need a car or cab to get to the city center unless you really love walking. Moose's Tooth brewery/restaurant is less than a mile away, though, and has great food and a lot of microbrews to choose from.

On the upside, at $175/night (including tax) it seems cheap by Anchorage standards, at least in peak season. Virtually all of the big chain hotels were totally sold out when I was in town, and the few that were available (e.g. Crowne Plaza) were over $300/night.

Room Tip: The suite I stayed in was decent. It had a full-size fridge, convection microwave, & kitchenette...

Hotel was clean and comfortable. Staff were very accommodating and friendly. Our room appeared to have been updated. Liked that it had a mini kitchen. Full size refrigerator. Saved us from having to eat every meal at a restaurant.. Enjoyed being able to walk to the baseball stadium to watch our grandson play. Overall a good experience.

bare bones but totally decent motel… we got in at 12 and left the next morning - it was clean enough and close to the airport. a fine space if you just need somewhere to crash - a b&b might be nicer but this is functional enough

Creekwood Inn is an older business. However, they are very clean and comfortable. They were very helpful whenever we had questions and the counter personnel were extremely pleasant. It was a nice experience to just talk with them about Anchorage and the surrounding area. We have stayed there twice and plan to stay there whenever we are in Anchorage.

Room Tip: If you are handicapped be sure to ask for a 1st floor room, as the hotel has no elevator.
