“A charming hotel”
Reviewed 12 July 2009

Stayed here for 1 night and it's a excellent hotel in the middle of a lovely little town. A great place to stay to visit the Hoover Dam and surrounding area. The hotel has a museum which is very interesting and well done and the lady who spoke to us in the shop afterwards was a mine of information. The hotel is clean with a good breakfast and is in the town centre so you can easily stroll around. The is a lovely shop just accross the road selling home made toffee and candy, very tasty!

Only about 1/2 hour from Las Vegas, and 15 minutes from Lake Mead, this is the place if you are looking for laid back, serene and beautiful. It is the kind of town you can take a walk in after dinner. The hotel has been kept up wonderfully and has a very nice, sunny breakfast and lunch restaurant. The town itself has a good variety of restaurants from brew pub to Mediterranean. I met the 6 a.m. retiree crowd at the local coffee shop -- a friendly bunch of guys. This is the kind of place you could linger, and relax, and enjoy.

We spent the first night of our honeymoon (after marrying in Vegas) here while visiting the Hoover Dam based upon tripadvisor reviews. We found the experience lovely- from arrival the staff were friendly and informative. The room was fairly basic in terms of decoration and amenities although there was free Wi-fi access in our room! However, everything was spotlessly clean. Definitely visit the museum in the hotel- it was a hidden gem. Breakfast here was THE BEST we had in the whole of our stay in the U.S! Delicious!

During our stay, we enjoyed a memorable evening in the basement bar with entertainment from Arron. The locals made us feel so welcome and toasted our marriage! It was such a lovely way to start married life.
The only thing to note: is that the walls were quite thin and we could hear lots of noise from the next room.

A very clean, historic establishment. Awesome value for a quite, two room suite. This is in the heart of OLD BC. Area was great for a night time stroll with many dining choices with in two blocks. Many pieces of awesome art line the streets. The Hotel has gone under a refurbishment but nothing that takes away from the original beauty. There is also an extensive museum in the basement that dipicts the construction of the Boulder (Hoover) Dam. Well done!!

When we travel we try not to stay at big box hotel/motels and go for more unique settings. We had a very nice 2 night stay. Staff was friendly...we stayed in a Suite room....was nice...not luxurious..but clean and pleasant. The lobby is beautiful, and the breakfast was very good.

I loved this place, we only stayed one night but thoroughly enjoyed its charm, oldey worldeyness comfort and location.

The rooms were clean, comfortable and nicely furnished but bathroom very small, not that well equipped ( lack of towel rail and shelf space ) and a little old around the edges. This however was not really a let down, more part of the old world charm of the place.
No great views from our window however!
The locationup town in a very nice area and very convenient for Lake Mead and the dam. Our local choice of recommended eatery was fabulous with a soon devoured cheese and wine selection board!

Front desk staff were pleasant and helpful and the lobby is stunning as is the general decor.
Up stairs on the top floor is an antiques centre, shops and museum very interesting but time forbade us a proper look!

The only let down to the hotel was the breakfast which was awful and the main reason it got 4 not 5 stars. Lacklustre quality and an out of date yogurt did not appeal....

Even with an awful breakfast I would rush back if I were needing to stay in Boulder again, the even better bit was how inexpensive this was, a bargain and thus smaller rooms without great views were no hardship!
