Superb hosts and wonderful location for a relaxing stay in provence. Very good location to tour many of the areas sights and Regis provided loads of recommendations that were spot on. House decor was understated rustic heaven.. My other half couldn't contain herself taking photos of everything! Will def be back. Ps pool was fab.

We stayed here for 2 nights in April and had 2 rooms. Dinner was amazing and the decor is exactly like from Vogue Living magazine. Reggis and Chantel were very friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming.

Highly recommended.

Our stay in Provence was for 7 nights and I can highly recommend to anyone La Garance en Provence. We arrived and were warmly welcomed by both Chantal & Regis who are two of the most lovely people you could ever meet. Chantal showed us around making us feel very welcom and Regis with some wonderful tips on places to see and go. Our room was spacious and very comfortable and the grounds are lovely. There is a lovely open room which is where the delicious breakfast is served and there is a comfy couch where Regis & Chantal served us a lovely aperitif which was a lovely way of meeting the other guests. There was always a wonderful recommendation for day trips and restaurants and they would always book a restaurant for you if you needed them to. The location in Le Thor is ideal also as it is really the most central spot for Provence. With the many attractions to see & do they are all 10-60 minutes drive away and Avignon is so close that you can easily go in for the evening for a restaurant or entertainment or simply stay in and enjoy the tranquility La Garance offers. All in all I would highly recommend La Garance en Provence. You won't be disappointed.

Room Tip: We stayed in the premier room La Feniere which was spacious and private. It's also on the groun...

My husband and I were looking for a quiet retreat that we could use both as a home-base to explore Provence and as a place to rest during our month-long trip in Europe. La Garance was perfect. Once we were settled, Chantal offered us a glass of wine which we were able to enjoy outside while we planned our trip, and this kind of hospitality continued the whole time we were there (one night, we stayed up late playing cards outside, and Chantal and Regis made sure that we had candles to see by, glasses and a bottle opener for the wine that we had bought while travelling that day, etc.) They took the time to get to know their guests, which was really lovely (despite the fact that I'm usually very shy).
The property is beautiful and the rooms gorgeous. I had only ever seen buildings this beautiful in pictures or in movies. Our room was lovely, despite the fact that the bathroom was "open concept" (the wall to the washroom doesn't go all the way to the ceiling and the door to the bathroom has a sheer curtain on it) and the bed was a bit hard. There was a beautiful sitting/common room just outside our room, but we didn't spend any time there since we prefered to spend time by the pool our outside. (Of note, some B&Bs in Provence have specific times when you can or cannot use the pool, La Garance is not like that, for which we were very thankful).
Breakfast was beautiful and filling. There were fresh croissants and plenty of breads to go with Chantal's homemade jams. Fruit had all been picked recently from the area (their neighbours brought over the pears). There was also a granola/fruit mix that we mixed into the yoghurt, and fresh coffee, tea and juices (the juice was bottled right there in Provence). It was definitley enough to hold us over til lunch! Plus, the morning that we had to leave early (breakfast usually starts at 9) we were accomodated graciously.
The location was perfect and easy to find. There was wireless internet so we could email home. The rooms were quiet and private. And, if you get the chance, take advantage of the Table d'Hote. For 30 euros (and as long as there are 4 people who want to take part), you can have a real Provencal dinner outside in the barn turned dining room. Ours was hosted by Regis and Chantal as well as their family friends and was one of the most unforgettable nights of my life!
If you're like us and have spent hours researching B&Bs to make sure you find "The Right One", stop researching. You've found it.

Stayed for a weekend, arriving for a wedding. Warm welcome, outstanding setting, inspirational decor. Very comfortable surroundings and accomodating hosts. Breakfast served in open barn, pure magic. Pure 'Cote de Sud'. We plan to return.

Room Tip: All rooms are quiet and face a wonderful garden,

We intended to stay for 2 nights and stayed for 6 as we felt so much at home in this beautifully renovated farmhouse. The location was perfect for our exploration of the entire area as it's central location is ideal. The owners, Regis and Chantal, made us feel so welcome we had a hard time leaving. They were the perfect hosts as they were always available as needed and yet allowed us our space to explore and relax. They had wonderful suggestions for our daily outings, dinner reservations, wine tours and museums in the area. Our room was beautifully decorated in a very updated way yet in quite a traditional style for Provence. The fixtures were all the latest and the beds were extremely comfortable. Our breakfasts everyday were plentiful with freshly made compotes, home made jams and honeys and the most delicious assortment of breads and fruits, yogurts and more. We look forward to another stay and give La Garance our highest recommendation.
