Unbeatable location, walk out of the front door and you step into another world! Sunday or Thursday you step straight into the hustle and bustle of a French market, the rest of the week into a tranquil 17th century street. Next door a design shop that hasn't changed for a hundred years, 4 doors up the Cafe du Paris with wonderful coffee and croissants, 2 doors away an artisan French patisserie.
The apartment is both comfortable and delightful and very French. The kitchen had everything we would want all with high quality equipment, the lounge dining area with comfortable chairs and settee, television, CD with Bluetooth to stream your own music and book shelves with books. The lounge has a rear facing balcony (the apartment is at the back of the property) meaning of course peace and tranquility to sit out during the day or a romantic evening for 2 with a bottle of wine and some good food. The bedroom has an extremely comfortable bed I suffer with my back but no problems with this bed. Off the bedroom is a great shower, Norman and Sue (well probably Sue) have gone to a lot of trouble to use high quality linen and towels. The apartment has both aircon and heating unit and a separate radiator in the bedroom and heated towel rail in the shower room.
The town of Sorge really is one of the most beautiful towns in Provence which oozes a romantic atmosphere matching the apartment perfectly, great walks through the town looking at epicure's, patisserie's and artisan cheese shops, and plenty of terraced restaurants with very good food. You should be able to tell we thought very highly of our week at La Petite Magnanerie and also of the care that Norman & Sue took to ensure our stay was memorable, thank you both. We would recommend this apartment to anyone particularly those romantics who enjoy the French atmosphere but with peaceful romantic nights eating on the lovely lite balcony.
