“Amazing location, needs updating”
Reviewed 22 August 2014

Great week spent in this fabulous location. Leisure facilities are very good and only let down by small amount available for under 6 year old's beside the kids club - am not one to go on holiday and pack of the kids all day. Accommodation beginning to look at bit tired. A second place versus Centre Parcs across Europe.

We spent a couple of nights at the vacation village and were sorry to leave. The room was clean and a decent size. We loved the pool area and our kids were very happy with the wave pool and the water slide.
The location of the village is good - close enough to Avignon and other interesting sites.
The two things that need improvement are the wifi (we bought the extended package and it simply did not work) and the quality of the food, which was very mediocre.
Despite these complaints we had a wonderful time and would love to go back.

We've stayed year after year with P&Vin this wonderful holiday village. It's in an outstanding location looking out on the Luberon. The best thing is the kids are happy here, they love the clubs and pools.

Could not eat at some of the restaurants on certain days as they only catered to groups on some days, not individuals - and this information was not communicated. Resort facilities such as sun loungers, ping pong table needs better upkeep, getting worn.

Dear Member ,

We sincerely regret that your stay was not as enjoyable as you hoped it to be .

It happens indeed that some of our restaurants can be privatized for some groups or
conventions , but we always make sure that one of them remains accessible for our clients .

We will pass on your comments about the deckchairs and table-tennis tables
maintenance to our technical staff , so they can check this equipment .

We do hope nevertheless that we will be able to welcome you again in Pont-Royal ,

Best regards ,

I gave this a 'good' because it's beautiful and the restaurants and central swimming pool areas & petting farm etc. are fantastic. The wave pool was concrete and so very warm even at the end of may. The waves and fountains were fantastic.

However there were 3 niggles for us which mean we probably won't go back prefering other clubs in the areas:

1. The kids club was good, but was charged extra which is the first time I've had to pay ontop for kids clubs. The mini golf was pricey at 8euro a head (particularly when your kids are small).

2. We were 2 families with young kids, so we booked the apartments. They were quite some walk away and the paths were not easy to manage. We had brought kids bikes anticipating this, but the paths were too hilly for small kids on bikes, so we spent most of our days lugging children or bikes, or pushing round & up hills. More annoying was the fact that there could have been a very fast direct route from the apartment to the back of the area, but the path was not made (we went cross country through some gardens and building works).

3. The closed nature of the apartments, made it difficult to share & socialise between the 2 families. The accomodation was very clean and well ordered (they even provided a helpful welcome pack), but completely closed off and with no safe communal area outside, so the kids reverted to playing in the car park when we were in the apartment preparing food etc. The 2 families (9 of us), squeezed around a table on a small balcony - open balconies or verandas (like in previous holiday villages) would have made sharing meals together easier.

Room Tip: If you have young kids, go centre village only - the walking is not worth it for the self-catering...

Dear ToniaOC,

Thank you for having taken the time to recommend our village.
The Village Club concept is based on holidays “ à la carte”, allowing each of our customers to compose his or her holidays, in harmony with their desire and budget.
We have in our village other types of houses, allowing families travelling together to be side by side and offering access to the other house through the garden.
Kinds regards,

The stay were with too high extra expences to P&V. We were 2 persons age 72 that booked a VIP-appartment and played golf 5 times on the fantastic golf course Pont Royal Country Club. Visited among other Loumarin, with interesting markets and restaurants. PontRoyal are a good basis for visiting and exploring the wonderful Provence.

Dear PeterMJ2014,

Thank you for having taken the time to recommend our village.
The Village Club concept is based on holidays “ à la carte”, allowing each of our customers to compose his or her holidays, in harmony with their desire and budget.
We share the Pont Royal domain with International Golf of Pont Royal, an 18 holes golf-course realized by Severiano Ballesteros. The price of the green fee lies between 39 and 75 euros, depending on the season.
We hope to have the pleasure to welcoming you again.
