“Terrible! Don't stay here!”
Reviewed 12 August 2013

Save your money and don't stay here! If you sleep in your car, you'll enjoy it more. The place is filthy. From the minute you walk through the front door, go down the hall and into your room, it is just plain dirty. They'll try to tell you it is because of pets, but that doesn't explain why there is coffee splashed up on the walls in the breakfast room or broken car window glass in the parking lot. And then the ever present small of cigarette smoke. The carpets were so dirty they were slick. We didn't even get out of our clothes to sleep lest we pick up something and wore our socks at all times (which were filthy as a result, by the way). If we hadn't arrived late and already secured our room with a credit card, we would have left. We would never stay here again.

Room Tip: Don't choose any room here!

Prices were ok
Cleanliness was mediocre , stairwells had not seen cleaning this year
Beds were ok, but carpet was worn and dirty
Breakfast was usual LQ fare, but they have beefed up their coffee to be tolerable

Room Tip: No elevators here So pick a bottom room if hard to navigate stairs

This facility is located in an area the old side of town. The staff is very personable and pleasant. Thy rooms are clean and tidy-everything works in the rooms. The one thing is there is no elevator but this is an old building that La Qunita bnought from another firm. Check in was smooth-no problem here-It is safe well lite and seems to be very busy. there is no pool, nice breakfast-well kept grounds and parking lot does have lights...

Room Tip: less noise - room away from vending machines, and exits..

The evening desk clerk was not friendly. Had to drag my luggage up the stairs (no elevator). I'm under doctor restrictions not to lift anything more than ten pounds. Room was musky. I had to keep the window open with the ac on. Bed was terrible!! It was way too soft. It was like it was trying to swallow me. I didn't sleep much, woke with a terrible backache each day. The sheets wouldn't stay on. I left the DO NOT DISTURB sign on the door for two days. On the third day I removed it; Left the card that says sheets wouldn't be changed for three days if left on pillow. Well, I wanted to see if the sheets would be changed, so i left a tad of makeup on the inside of the sheet. On the fourth day of my stay, the sheets still hadn't been changed. Liners are not put in trash cans. They were nasty and smelly. There was a spill in refrigerator, mold on inside bottom door and fridge. Floors had not been vacuumed during my stay. Mold and mildew in shower. Mildew on shower curtain. Shower was very slick. I caught myself three times from falling. Toilet had black ring in bowl. Back splash was dirty. Complimentary cups & coffee in room were not replaced. Coffee maker was nasty. Burn marks on carpet near door. Breakfast each day was blah. Shriveled oranges, and granny smith apples, Waffle maker was nasty, cereal stale, Coffee so weak I could see the bottom of the cup. The breakfast attendant was rude when I asked about the coffee. People partying, and running thru the hall at eleven pm. Liqueur bottles in parking lot. I will not be staying at this La Quinta again, and would not recommend it to anyone.

I travel frequently and I am an elite La Quinta member. I had two non smoking rooms booked at this hotel. When we came to check in, there was no one at the front desk. We waited several minutes, still no one. Rang the bell, a girl slowly showed up from down the hall, asked what we needed. Check in was slow, while several guests with dogs moved in and out thru the office. No elevator to use, so we used the stairs and Donna long smelly hallway, with several guests out drinking alcohol in the hallway. Opened our room door, and was greeted by the overwhelming smell and sting of cigarette smoke. It was nauseating. One bed looked like it had already bed laid upon, there were room keys already in the room. Should have been a clue that the previous guests didn't stay here either.
There has a hole splintered thru the bathroom door, smoke detector was hanging down by a wire, there were what seemed to be small black bugs on the bed, bathroom was small and dirty, didn't even go in it. We called front desk to ask for another room. They said they would come up and show us mother. We checked our fellow travelers room and it was just as nasty. Waited quite along time for front desk to come show us one more stall smoking room that reeked of smoke. She said she didn't have any more non smoking rooms. When I asked her why the reservation that asked for two non smoking rooms was not honored, she just shrugged her shoulders. In the mean time we were all using our iPads to find another hotel. Answer walked out the long hallway, we had to sidestep dog vomit in the hallway, and revelers in the parking lot drinking.
We had also asked to use the business center to print boarding passes, but we told someone had messed with the computer and the staff didn't have the password to reset it. They didn't have shuttle service to airport, but had a taxi service, but didn't have any cards or know the name.
We left as soon as we could get out of there.
I can't believe the rooms we were given we even open for use. This hotel and staff is a disaster. The La Quinta sigh should be removed and call it Joes smoke shack, rent by the hour or week, whichever you can stand. Still creeped out two days later.

Room Tip: Don't stay here.

We tend to stay at La Quinta when we travel with our little dog as they are all pet friendly. This one was a good value as it was just a tad more expensive than the near by Motel 6, but includes breakfast.

We stayed in room 237, which does get some ice and vending machine noise. It also came with the prior guest's wet towel in the shower. The bed was actually very nice for a La Quinta - a huge King with ample pillows (more than the standard two pillows).

The breakfast was nothing special, a minimal amount of cereal, orange juice, bread, and the ubiquitous waffles. But the room it's in was exceptionally small for when the hotel is full to max capacity. It was hard to maneuver around and was standing room only at times. It is a ways out of town.

It needs to be remodeled, but the staff was tremendous. They were helpful and friendly. It was clean enough. Breakfast didn't offer a whole lot of choice and was slim Pickens. If you're staying one night it's fine.
