“So bad....”
Reviewed 8 March 2012

I would rather not golf than golf at the Knolls. Years ago it was nice but under new ownership I guess they just don't have the money to keep it up. The greens are sloppy and the fairways are more like rough.

“Omaha's poorest cared for Public Golf Course”
Reviewed 24 August 2008

What can I say? The course is the poorest maintained public access course in Omaha. There are few if any distance markers (none to be found on the sprinkler heads). In addition, there are tree branches laying around everywhere in the roughs. Most of the rough areas on the back nine have been completely neglected. Tall weeds and dead grass are the extent of the rough on several of the holes on the back nine. Hole #10 has what used to be a very attractive lake, now nothing more than a smelly mud bog with trash and litter. Dead trees and broken branches are located all over the course. Many damaged in a June thunderstorm and still here in late August. Many trees are not trimmed making it very difficult to navigate golf carts under or around. The tee boxes are choppy at best and appear to need leveling, mowing, and overseeding. The sand traps were hard and partially dirt mixed with sand. The pictures on the courses show a beautiful lake with a fountain. In fact, the fountain was not working and the lake was algae filled.
The only saving aspect to the experience was the polite nature of the staff at the snack bar and pro shop.
This used to be such a nice track, hopefully the management can turn it around and make it a nice course again. Until then, I would save your money.

“over booking”
Reviewed 12 June 2008

Knolls put the same tee time for multi twilight groups for $$$. The group intervals were so tight. So, we could not finish back 9 holes although we paid full 18 hole fees. Our group decided that we would never play at Knolls in the future.

“Dont Do It”
Reviewed 15 May 2008

I was excited about playing there then I got to the first tee, and realized there were some course problems. First the lenght of the grass on the tee boxes was similiar to rough. There were also no yardages on sprinkler heads or really any yardage markers at all. There were dead patches everywhere on tee's, fairways and even some greens. The one thing that made it even remotely interesting were the greens were in decent shape, outside of a few dead patches. The price wasn't outrageous, but for someone on vacation find somewhere else..

Hands down the best Public Golf Course in the Omaha area. Great conditions, clean clubhouse and super service. If your in Omaha make sure you play golf at the Knolls.
