We live near Elmwood Golf Course and love it. It's the best place in town for my husband and I to play together because it's short enough for me and challenging enough for him, plus, it's some of the best scenery in Omaha with it's beautiful mature trees, ponds, views of UNO's campus, Shakespeare on the Green scenery in July-August, and Elmwood Park's pavillion and many other amenities.

You've gotta really be wanting your exercise to walk the course though, very hilly. I walked 9 there once and promised myself I'd never do it again (and I'm not old or terribly out of shape).

It is a litle more expensive than some people might be expecting a city course to be, but I think it garners the price tag.

It's a little strange that the 9th hole doesn't put you back up at the clubhouse to make the turn, and therefore they get a little finicky about requests to play back 9 only. Just depends on who'se working that day. Always worth an ask as the back 9 has some unique shots.

Challenging for average golfers and a little shorter than most courses. Located in a city park.

A little boring and very slow. Expect a 4 1/2 hour round.

Midtown course that always seems to be in good shape. Price is not bad and they do have cold beer.

This par 64 - 4,600 course in the rolling hills of mid-town Omaha is a nice challenge for even experienced golfers. The course is gets a lot of play, but is usually in pretty good shape. Many of the par 4s are reachable with a good tee shot; however, be warned, with plenty of trees and hills, this course can be a challenge.

A problem with Elmwood is that #9 ends and #10 begin no where near the clubhouse. So it is no conducive for playing 9 holes.
