In one word: "Fantastic" that is what my son said! And indeed, it is a very nice hotel with small but very nice slides! We really enjoyed ourselves for hours there every day. The nice lady that is responsible for the slides also gave an dimension to it by playing with the children!

The staff of the hotel is very friendly and it is always clean. The all in is a real all-in and people are always ready to help you. The lady & the man at the reception is also ready to help you where they can. I can really recommend it to families with children!!!

Room Tip: All rooms are quite, rooms looking over the pools are useful when you children playing there!

My family and I stayed here in August and had a great time, there are many nationalities. The hotel is in a lovely position overlooking the sea in a quiet area. This is a relatively small hotel for a family all inclusive but this is what I liked about it, there was no rushing or pushing at mealtimes - the restaurant was well planned, overlooking the sea, after taking your seat the staff brought drinks directly to your table, the food was superb, a great choice and always fresh. There were always plenty of friendly staff in the restaurant and the tables were promptly cleared, it was a delight to eat here. The animation team were excellent as too were all the staff here always smiling, friendly and helpful. The rooms were great always cleaned to a high standard. This was an extremely relaxing holiday and we would not hesitate to return. A very well run hotel.

Room Tip: Ask for a sea view.

We stayed at the Vasia village in Crete this week and the experience was fantastic. We booked a last minute deal and flew out 12 hrs later. Arriving at the hotel at three in the morning and our operator had not booked us a room for this night, despite assurances that this would happen. The night receptionist could not have been more apologetic and helpful. With a couple of phone calls we had a room and our cases were taken down for us. We were told that this would only be a temporary room and if we came back to reception at 11 our booked room would be free. At 11 we trundled up to reception and were allocated room 433. Our temporary room was packed for us and our cases moved to our new room, once again with many apologies and thank you's.
The rooms are spacious, airy and totally spotless. Lovely double size showers, with clean sheets every other day and new towels daily. The maids are quietly efficient and very friendly as are the gardening staff who are always weeding and planting new bits and bobs.
The reception staff cannot do enough to help with anything to make your stay more enjoyable. Same for the kitchen staff, waiters and waitresses. Every meal after the first day we had our regular drinks brought to our table without asking and the food is lovely. The kitchen is at the back of the serving area so you can see how clean the staff and working area is. Great idea. The food was of excellent quality as was surprisingly enough the house wine.
Pool wise, there are two smaller pools for little ones, with slides and water fountains. These are away from the main pool so you can relax all day without being bothered by pesky kids. The main pool has a bar and welcome breeze from the ocean. Entertainment in the form of water aerobics, volleyball, what's in the box are fun and not forced. We were asked once by Richard from the animation team, if yes then great, for those who do not want to get involved, you are not pressured or forced into anything.
There are Spa facilities at the nearby Vasia hotel and spa which is a 5 min walk away and this is where the evening entertainment takes place.
Basically, this has been one of the most pleasant weeks away we have had, which is mainly down to the fantastic staff, excellent clean facilities, weather and severe lack of shouty English types who can ruin anything.
Transfer from the airport for us was about an hour an a quarter, although this can be reduced to about 15 mins in one of the taxis bookable from Sissi at 55 euros each way.
The village of Sissi is unspoilt by clubs and has a collection of shops selling local goodies and Rolex's for as little at 14 euros :-) Sissi is about a 20 min walk from the hotel.
The Vasia village feels like at private resort and long may it stay that way.
Would highly recommend for a  break.

We spent couple of days at Vasia Village this August. Nice place to stay, not that crowded. Very friendly staff. Fine greek meals that varied. Even provided snack bags upon early departure from the hotel.

We stayed at the Vasia Village for 2 weeks. We arrived at 7am and were welcomed and provided a snack bag for each of us (3). We were taken by golf buggy to our apartment. Lovely ground floor apparent overlooking garden.

The food is very good and varied, not your typical AI fayre. The staff are excellent and nothing is too much of a problem. Poppy on the reception is very very helpful and due to the fact we were checking out at noon on a Tuesday and not flying til the following day at 5am, she kindly provided us with the bands free of charge and a room to shower up.

The sister hotel vasia beach & spa is more busy, but a very nice hotel, incidentally where the evening entertainment is held. This is no more than a 5 min walk. I would recommend vasia village as quieter and then walk to other hotel. Just seems more of a personal place. The water slides are good fun. The main pool, the only one is big enough and you can always get a sun lounger. People do put towels down, but not necessary.

Snacks at the pool bar at 4pm were always nice. The ice cream was always available. Drinks fine, apart from the beer which was horrible at2.2%. Would suggest stick to wine or spirits.

At vasia beach & spa, there is a kids show, then twice a week a show is provided by the animation staff. We saw Mumma Mia, Zorro, Pirates of Carribean, Grease and a dance show.

At Vasia Village you must go to the Blue Bar in the evening where late night entertainment takes place. Great place to watch the sunset and chill.

On our first night out daughter was so tired after being up 40 hours, we had evening meal then had to go back to apartment. The waitress then offered to take 4 glasses of wine to our apartment. Nice touch!

Please note the main venue for entertainment at hotel & spa is held in the Cotton Club, just turn left out of the village hotel and you cannot miss it. 2 min walk.

Opposite cotton club there is a great taverna called Stefanos. They have swing chairs for the kids the Stefano is very friendly.

Siss harbour is a good 15 min walk, lots if places to eat, really pretty. Suggest go down at day and then evening you get a great atmosphere.

Suggest take a trip on the Happy Train, we did a half hour trip and did not realise what area we missed out on. We are def going back next year to finish off the places we missed.

Only down side of sissi is that there really is not a lot of sandy beaches just rocks, however we lived by the pool. Sissi is a really pretty place and beautiful sunsets. When we went in August, please not it was very hit topping 118f! Just meant lots if stop offs in bars and tavernas en route.

Also in sissi harbour, you must visit Peggy Gordon's Irish Bar. Great place and the owner Cavan was very friendly. Also Jimmy the barman from Newcastle was very friendly and provided a lot if local info.

Would without a doubt recommend your next holiday is sissi or better still Vasia Village. Final note, we took shuttle bus from airport Heraklion, told 45 mins, this is not true, near 2 hours but do not let this put you off!

Cab for transfer is only 55 euros, as long as you close your eyes!

Enjoy and annoy stress enough how good the vasia village is!! You will not be disappointed.

Family of 2 adults and 1 8 y/I. Phil, Vicky & Kira. Stay 31/07/13-13/08/13.

Nice place tot stay. Very friendly staff. AI is oke, but a bit limited (f.i. the salads the same every day, pork was delicious. Every day a choice of fish and meat). Soft drinks are not an A-brand (no coke or pepsi etc,, its comes from a machine. Drinks are being served).

Good pools ...Busservice to nearby beach. We (2 adults en 2 teen/twenners) were very happy we
didn't book Vasia Beach hotel, that was (over)crowded.
Special diner in Greek restauarant Vasia Beach was for us a bit of a dissappointment because of de choice of dishes...not our taste.

Nearby supermarkets.

Bit hilly and many rooms only accesible by stairs, so beware if you have walking problems! Make it known as you book a room...ground floors are oke as we saw it...

We have just returned from 2 weeks at the Vasai Village in Sissi and can only say it has been a wonderful, relaxing and thoroughly enjoyable holiday. We went with our 8 year old daughter and stayed in one of the smaller rooms with our daughter in a camping style bed. It was a squeeze but the rooms are so clean and nicely decorated and you spend such a small amount of time in the room that even if you get the smallest room, they are still fine. All the staff were amazing, so friendly and helpful ALL the time, we really couldn't fault anyone at all. We went over to the Vasia Beach and Spa for some of the evening entertainment and did have free drinks at all the bars although this is still slightly unclear if you can or not ? again all the staff were helpful but I am so pleased we stayed at the Vasai Beach instead. The pool area was quiet, clean with enough going on. The kids enjoyed the slides and all the pools and also the games, water aerobics etc provided by Richard. The food was lovely with so much choice and variety and again, nothing was ever too much trouble for anyone in the restaurant.

A wonderful hotel where we will definitely be recommending and hopefully returning very soon.
