The room was nice but not that special for a suite and wasn't quite up to the 5 star standard you would find in a London hotel.
The pools were good and the staff were friendly. The only problem we had was that the towel rail under the sink broke and the handyman did not do a very good job of fixing.
The location was good, it was a little way off from the harbour and set back from the sea so was nice and quiet with a lovely view of the mountains.
The food was ok but all buffet so nothing special. But it was difficult to get really good food anywhere in Sissi.
Overall a lovely time but wouldn't necessarily go back to Sissi again. If i did then i probably would stay at Angela's again.

The Angela Boutique Hotel has the makings a of a lovely place to stay but is completely lacking in any atmosphere. We had to change rooms 3 times and ended up in suite at the top of the building which was lovely but.....Not a single picture on the wall, no tissues, had to keep pool towels for whole of 2 week stay - just lacking in the little touches. The food was appalling both for breakfast and dinner. it was quite expensive to stay there and to have a buffet dinner every evening of the most boring food was a disappointment, no cloths on the tables just cheap white paper place mats. We did have a nice holiday but on the couple of cold days there was no where big enough inside the hotel to sit so endless cups of coffee had to be bought in the various tavernas. Needs alot more thoght.

Not sure where it says this is five star but for the price you would have to be a moron to think it would be like the George V in Paris, where for what we paid for a week B&B (and return flight to Crete) you could stay four nights, make your own way there and eat the wallpaper.

Honestly, get real people. This is a reasonably "chic" boutique hotel, clean friendly, 3 variously sized swimming pools and with guests who are not battling over plastic cups at the AI bar! It is small enough that it makes everybody mix and say hello!

The hotel has four stars on the doormat.

The staff were all friendly, nobody on reception was surly or unhelpful (maybe you get what you give) and front of house Georgia and Klyde could not be more friendly answering the same questions they have heard a thousand times from the other side of the bar.

I travelled with my wife and we would not hesitate to recommend this to anybody, ground floor junior sweet spotless and adequate with no view of the Torbay landscape, like we cared. We first encountered Sissi on a boat trip from Hersonissos about 7 years ago and it has hardly changed, except the boat trip is now a pirate ship. If you wanted to I spose you could get on it at Hersonissos and drop off home for tea in Sissi, like a sort of ferry trip.

Anyway bed and breakfast I can vouch for and plenty of places to eat round and about. Milatos turned out to be quite an adventure and ignore all the baloney about beaches. The biggest one at the Robinsons camp up the road is not private and nobody challenged (six of) us about mooching around the complex, a lovely German couple who we spoke to told us that Rbinsons are quite happy for non-guests to go and have swim or a look round, the place is enormous.

Everyone there at the same time as us appeared to have a good time though the weather was a bit "parky" for the Weds Thurs Fri and Sat. But we met some good company and yattered away the time so who cares about the state of the Greek economy even closing down the sunshine.

Bottom line, would we go again? Try stopping us.

Stayed in July for a week and although not up to 5 star standands, nonetheless nice hotel and poolside. Met some other holiday makers whom we palled up with and explored the local tavernas which were within walking distance. Although stayed on a half board basis, the evening meals were not that varied and we were grateful to eat out some nights. The hotel and grounds very pretty. No free Wi Fi which should have been available in a 5 star hotel. Probably wouldn't return as a bit remote and if returning to Greece, would maybe consider Rhodes next time.

My husband & I have just returned form a 10 night stay at The Angela Hotel and we would return tomorrow. OK, so it's not 5* as we know it to be (and yes I am a northener) but it is Greece and I have stayed in worse 5* hotels in other places. The hotel was clean & tidy. Our room was cleaned daily and clean sheets & towels every 3rd day. Our maid was very good at her job, we have no complaints there. As mentioned by someone else, Klyde & Georgia we very entertaining behind the bar. Klyde was a mine of information if you needed to know anything about the resort. Although we booked half board, for what we paid, we were happy to eat out on the odd occasion. Having said that, my sister stayed at The Castillo Boutique Resort which cost a lot more money and was just around the corner and our food was much better than hers. We are glad we stayed at this hotel and would recommend it to our friends without a doubt.
Just one little thing to mention on the minus side... It mentions on the website that toiletaries are provided. This I am sorry to say is only shower gel. Take your own shampoo & conditioner. We did.
So, thank you to all the staff at The Angela Hotel for making our stay a pleasent one. Especially Klyde, he is a star. And thank you to the lovely people we met there. You know who you are !!!!

Room Tip: Stay in a deluxe room unless you are on a budget.

Don't understand how any guest can say that the hotel is spotlessly clean cos didn't see any grounds to that claim. The communal areas kept clean but we must have had the cleaner who didn't believe in sweeping the floors in the room or balcony and merely left long dark hairs on the floor each day. All outside show as far as I'm concerned as the first impression is one of high standards, but if the room cleaning isn't up to a good standard then it's just a facade. As far as Mr Attitude behind the reception is concerned - I fail to understand how he's kept his job, unless he's a member of the family. He's on the offensive all the time and certainly missed out on customer care training. The beds are just awful and the pillows are even worse.

We won't be returning and it's a shame as the village and harbour are both delightful.

Room Tip: Take a hoover
