We were looking for a town and accommodation within striking distance of KEF for next day departure. Arriving in Borgarnes we went to the Visitor Center and they referred us to the Borgarnes B&B. What a stroke of luck.
The B&B is in a lovely large house right on the beach. Striking views and grounds. Our room was with shared bath but we were the only guest that night and the bath was something out of an architectural magazine. The kitchen was available for your use and coffee/tea always available. The breakfast was nothing special. Bread/cheese/prepared meat. Coffee was very good.
The town itself is certainly worth a visit. It reminded my wife and me of Mendocino California. We just happened to stumble on the town and B&B and wished we had a couple more days to stay and explore the area.More
