We stayed here on our honeymoon, it is perfectly located in the town, and is incredible value.
the only slightly odd thing is the low level window in the shower cubicle.
The owner is very friendly, its like staying with a relative.

It is an old house very beautiful, ouside and inside, and with amazing seaside views. The host is a very charm lady who makes the best breakfast in Borgarnes and maybe Iceland. We were lucky having rain this day, so we expend a quite nice evening reading a book watching the sea from the living room.

It's hard to pick a favorite from a stay, but Inge's place in Borgarnes would be among the top of just about any list. The place is quiet, friendly and the view out the back is superb, with nice walks along the water's edge. It's also nearby the Settlement Centre, for excellent dining and a first rate museum. Breakfast was huge, with lots of home made (still warm) breads and pancakes, too, in addition to the cereals, jams, meats, cheeses of other Icelandic accommodations.

Lovely B&B in Borganes. We were initially put into a room with a great view but a shared bathroom. As we had arrived early, there was no problem to make the change. We preferred to have a private bathroom and to forgo the view as we were only in Borganes for one night. The room, on the main floor [not downstairs] had free wi-fi and a beautiful modern bathroom. Curtains rather let in the almost 24 hours of daylight at that time of the year so it was handy to have an eye-mask. Breakfast was plentiful although it would have been nicer to have a larger selection of fruit.

We just spent two nigths at the Borgarnes Bed and Breakfast. We had a large family room on the ground floor with a great view of the bay. There are 4 rooms on the ground floor that share 2 large bathrooms. We enjoyed the breakfast and good coffee with an amazing view of the bay and the mountains. The beach is basically in the back yard, great for an evening stroll in the midnight sun. Just down the hill is a great gallery (Galleri Gersemi) which sells beautiful Icelandic art and artifacts. Across the street from the Gallery is the Settlement Museum and a great restaurant. We had the Wolf Fish, with smoked trout for starters, great food and very interesting presentation. This is not the run of the mill bed and breakfast. Definitely a repeater.

Perfect view!
Perfect landlady!
Perfect rooms!
A MUST stay in Iceland!

We stayed here 3 nights in 3 different rooms. They are all very clean, comfortable and cozy. We prefer the rooms with shared bathroom, because they have the great view on the Ocean.
Futrhermore we really enjoyed our stay here, because the hot water doesn't have the usual bad icelandic smell.

Room Tip: You should take one of the rooms with shared bathroom, if you want a perfect view on the Ocean!

First of all - this place has an outstanding view. The best we got during our 12 day stay in Iceland. This was our favorite B&B, and our favorite place we stayed, overall. The landlady is so sweet and made an awesome pancake breakfast. The house is G O R G E O U S, completely updated and spacious. We've already planned a return trip in the winter, and plan on staying here for at least two nights, then.

Room Tip: Double room with shared bathroom worked for my boyfriend and I.

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
Founded in February 2008, famous for the hostess's breakfast buffet, Borgarnes Bed & Breakfast is a favorite spot for people from all over the world who want to relax for shorter or longer periods in a quiet and relaxing ambiance and at the same time have the opportunity to enjoy a big part of Iceland. We are located in the heart of Borgarnes, in Englendingavik creek, the protected historical center of town, with an outstanding view over the mysterious Borgarfjordur fjord. Only a walking distance from the sea, the Icelandic Settlement Center, restaurants and the playground Bjossarolo this Borgarnes's renowned Guesthouse is in a house that was built for the rich people of Borgarnes approximately 70 years ago. Even though it is popular as an accommodation for families, couples and individuals, with its 8 bedrooms, big kitchen and dining rooms it is a good idea for little groups to rent the whole house for one or more nights to enjoy a time of their own. As such the house has accommodated recreation week-ends, birthday parties, confirmation celebrations, just to give some examples. From Borgarnes you have a variety of shorter and longer hikings and you can do day tours on Borgarfjordur region, Dalir region, Snaefellsnes peninsula, Vatnsnes peninsula in the north, the Golden circle of the South coast and even go for the highland where you can have a taste of Iceland's second largest glacier. The staff is more than willing to help you organize your own ideas of a relaxing or an adventurous day before you head off in the morning. ... more   less
