We stayed in the apartment run by Borgarnes B&B. It is down the road within walking distance of the main house. The owner was very friendly and sent us off with the keys and directions to the flat. It was a well equipped one bed flat with a kitchen, bathroom and lounge. The bedroom was small and the two single beds are only 2ft 6in wide but fine for sleeping !
We went to the restaurant at the settlement centre for dinner and this was excellent. Then after a good nights sleep we walked up to the bed and breakfast house for breakfast. This was our first night in Iceland and the breakfast was lovely, a great selection with beautiful home made breads, cereals, cold meats, cheeses, fruit, skyr, pancakes etc. A great selection.
The dining room has a lovely view of the sea which I am sure the bedrooms do too. I would recommend this guest house and also the town for a peaceful and interesting stop.
