I stayed there for two days in july and I cant say i was disappointed with the stay. The hotel is very well located and it was easy to drive around Snæfellsnes and look around with Rjúkandi as "base camp". I would recommend to a friend :)

Nice new hotel in the middle of nowhere but within a good distance to explore the Snaefellsness peninsula. Very good food and big and comfortable rooms. They can give you valuable information about the surrounding area

This is a small hotel that has recently been added to an existing cafe and gas station. It lies at the junction between the roads to Stykkisholmur and the Snaellsfellsness peninsula. It is about an hour's drive north of Borgarnes and a comfortable 30 minute drive to Stykkisholmur and the ferry to the Westfjords.
The rooms are new, clean and comfortable and very good value for the area. Breakfast is included. There is free WiFi. The food in the restaurant was well cooked and tasty, although we thought that the portion size of the fish soup was on the small side and regretted not choosing an appetizer. The prices were comparable to other similar restaurants, high by North American standards, but inclusive of tax and service charge. The staff were friendly and welcoming. We would certainly stay here again and have no hesitation recommending it.

This is a small hotel on the road out to the Snaellsfellsness peninsula. If you are heading out that way, take the time and stay the night at this small roadside hotel and restaurant. The rooms and brand new, clean and very comfortable. The attached restaurant was excellent, and absolutely hit the spot after a long day of travelling. The couple running the hotel are charming and it is worth spending time with them to find the hidden charms of the peninsula. Two things to note: the hotel is not in the town of Borgarnes. Don't make this mistake. It is in Vegamot, which is so small that it probably is Vegamot. Also, at the time of this review, the hotel doesn't have a sign. It looks like a gas station, but don't worry, it is just fine.

We loved staying at this newly-built small hotel. The family that runs the hotel obviously takes great pride and care in their establishment, and had lots of great tips for visiting the area (including a nearby secret natural hot spring). Dinner (salad, fish soup, lamb and "happy marriage" dessert cake) was excellent. And the hotel is in a great location for exploring the peninsula. We certainly recommend the hotel to anyone visiting the northwest corner of Iceland!
