“Genealogy Conference was held here.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 September 2011

The conference I attended here lasted 4 days. The building was worn and dated. The chairs in the conference rooms were painful to sit in - they were padded metal folding chairs. The elevators' alarms kept going off and some people would get in the elevator, push buttons and the elevator would not go anywhere. They then would have to push the "open door" button to get out. The stairs here are steep and slick. Most conference rooms had room for scooters or wheelchairs, but not all of them. The stairs and exits were not very easy to find when there is a big crowd in the building. The concession stand food was good, but expensive. $3.00 for a small bottle of Pepsi. If you weren't in a conference session, there wasn't much space to sit and relax - only a very few wooden benches and the same padded folding chairs around a few tables in the exhibit hall. The exhibit hall (or arena) was very large for this event.

“Went to Geneology Conference... nice facility”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 September 2011

This conference center is smaller than what I'm accustomed to (Chicago, Long Beach, Baltimore)... but a lovely conference center. It is right across the street from a large hotel, with others nearby.

If you go to a conference here and are a history buff, Lincoln's Home, the Lincoln Museum and Libarary, the Depot and various other Lincoln sites are within walking distance.

Parking is great, if you pay it is not like the larger venues!

Expected more out of a state capital arena. Clean and well laid out. Located in a nice area.
