I have stayed at this hotel at least 5 times and it appears to be getting worse. I will not stay again. The rooms should be updated. if you are expecting 300 plus ppl for an event there should not be only 2 bell service men. The elevators were slow and the max was 8 ppl. Several persons were stuck in the elevator for a significant amount of time.

Dear Rondag - thank you for taking the time to let us know about your stay. You may not be aware, however we are constantly in the process of updating our guestrooms and I would invite you to ask for refreshed accommodations should you visit us again. We apologize if the large group we were hosting this past week proved to be an inconvenience. We do limit the amount of people allowed in our elevators to only 8 because that's what law dictates and we'd rather our guests get to where they are going in the building safely, even if it takes a few minutes longer. Our elevators are not particularly slow, however the group of over 600 we were hosting this week moved from meeting room to meeting room throughout the building on a schedule, and when they all moved it absolutely got very, very busy. Again, we're sorry you found it an inconvenience. We do, however, appreciate the feedback

Hilton has a partnership with expedia with some non-refundable nights. Unfortunately, we had to cancel our last night stay due to sudden changes in our plans. We did not want a refund. We were simply looking to have a credit through expedia or Hilton to use exclusively through expedia or Hilton. I only got excuses and run around from both. One would blame the other.

Almost every major hotel chain uses expedia and/or other online booking sites. Some are refundable and some are not. The fact is mind-blowing that hotel chains make contracts with these online booking sites without any wiggle room for customer emergencies or sudden changes in customer's itineraries. My family will have to eat the cost of one additional night of stay due to the greed of both Hilton and Expedia.

The front desk manager Leslie was very gracious, professional and helpful. Ryan was also trying to help. Yet, when customer service is trumped by revenue, it all means nothing. It has made our stay in Springfield far less enjoyable and regrettable.

Dear Christian.....thank you for advising us of the difficulty you are having with a refund of your third-party reservation. Unfortunately, and you should keep this in mind for future reference because they all work similarly, one of the things you give up in exchange for the lower rate is the right to cancel or amend your stay. That's their policy, not Hiltons.I realize it can be very difficult to get an exception made, however in light of the circumstances I would be happy to make a phone call and see what I am able to do for you. Hotel is under some construction at the front, have to go a little around to get to front desk which is a pain when you are valet parking because they don't have a valet person outside. I think there was poop on our shower curtain, the ceiling was badly in need of paint, the pillows are square, hard to sleep on.

We did have a beautiful view on the 22nd floor.

Dear Hotmess - thank you for offering feedback regarding your recent stay. We're sorry if you were at all inconvenienced by our little lobby remodelling project. We do try and schedule those when we think there will be the least guest impact, but since we are a 24/7 business it's hard to find the exact right time. I'm also sorry to hear that you thought your shower curtain was, uh....well, let's just say I'm sorry for whatever appeared to be on it and rest assured we will figure out what you room you were in and get that looked into right away. We appreciate you taking your time to let us know.

Hilton Springfield is located "downtown" close to both State and City government offices but also immd adjacent to the Lincoln era historic district as well as the nationally known Lincoln Museum.
While the downtown area is close to dead at night, the hotel has an excellent restaurant and a Bennigan's which offers great deals on food and a raft of beer selections.
Staff is very friendly and courteous, hotel is spotless and the parking deck is connected to the hotel.
Great place to spend a few days on business and catch some history.

This hotel has a beautiful view of Springfield however the rooms are dated and some of the things in the hotel (elevators) did not work well. It was very inconvenient to wait on an elevator for more than 10 minutes. The pool was highly chlorinated and this was reported in a timely fashion so the problem could be fixed before the pool opened the next day.

Dear Kathy - thank you for taking a few moments to offer your feedback during your recent stay. As an older building, we are almost constantly in the process of renovation: somewhere in the building, we are always updating guestrooms, or redecorating meeting spaces or public restrooms, etc. The good news is that most of our upper floors rooms - which take advantage of that view you mentioned - are all recently updated with new carpet and wall coverings so if you find your way back to Springfield in the future, please feel free to request a refreshed room with a view. Accomodations and service was excellent. Sales staff was very good to work with. Meeting rooms were bright and spacious. We were told we needed a profection screen vut got along just fine by projecting on a will in Vista 1

The staff here were wonderful to work with! Everything ran smoothly for our event thank you, Cora! The breakfast buffet was awesome - especially the chocolate muffins! The wait staff here were also very friendly and gracious. We never waited very long for a table even with a full hotel.
