Easy to get to, find and the stay was wonderful. Breakfast was hot and plentiful, no issues seen at all. All features in the room worked fine, TV remote worked and did not need batteries as seen in a lot of hotels. I would stay there again.

Nice clean hotel, but nothing really outstanding here folks. After calling around to almost every hotel in Springfield, this one seemed the best hotel at the best price in a convenient location. Situated not far from Interstate 72, the hotel sits in close proximity to a strip mall containing numerous fast food establishments as well as a Walmart and Target. Backtracking not far back across I-72 also gives you the options of other, slightly more upscale dining establishments, Bob Evans/O’Charley’s/etc, and other shopping venues.

After checking in and procuring the requisite bottles of wine from Friar Tuck’s (liquor store located directly across the parking lot from the hotel – supreme selection of spirits … I’ll have to write a review of this establishment in the future.), and eating at O’Charley’s, we returned to the hotel to enjoy the super-heated hot tub and refreshing swimming pool. The hot tub and pool were actually the highlights of our stay. The pool area was clean and well stocked with clean towels. The pool was very nice … water not freezing cold nor too warm as some indoor pools are. The hot tub was superb – clean, warm and relaxing.

The room – average. We had a standard king room and as mentioned, it was just an average hotel room with a king bed. The room was actually small overall, with just a few feet between the king sized bed and the walls on both sides. Other than being somewhat small, I could really find no faults with anything in the room. It was clean, had a nice flat screen T.V., clean and well stocked bathroom area, small desk/work station, as well as a microwave and mini refrigerator. The only minor complaint with the room itself was that the bed had a “pillow sheet” on it under the standard fitted sheet. Although this made the bed soft and comfortable, it also allowed the fitted sheet as well as the “pillow sheet” to easily slide off the mattress during the night having us awaking to lying on a bare mattress with the sheets curled off the edges of the mattress and pulled toward the center of the bed. We slept well, so this was really not noticed until waking in the morning. Personal opinion to management – remove the “pillow sheets”, the beds are fine without them.

The hotel also features a free continental breakfast. All the standard menu items are offered - sausage, eggs, cereal, muffins/bagels, waffles, juices, etc. All were as good as any other hotel’s free breakfast.

Overall, we had a nice overnight stay and would definitely not hesitate to stay here again.

Thanks Evilar for your comments and we are glad you enjoyed your visit with us.

Thank you also for your comment about our mattress pads. We've made that a re-occurring daily training topic in housekeeping since this comment to make sure that does not happen again.

We look forward to seeing you again!

Here's my two cents, or at least my Penny.
This Fairfield Inn has been remodeled recently and it was nicely done. It's conveniently located, has an attractively designed interior including the newly remodeled breakfast area, and breakfasts are always tasty, with good variety. I would recommend it over other hotels in the area.

PENNY
Stayed 1 night...Courtney at front desk was great...accommodated my early check in requirement. Located just off the highway and close to everything, Starbucks, McDees, Chilis, Target. Lobby was updated and clean. Check in process was a breeze. Corridors updated. Inside of elevator needs TLC. Room was clean and spacious. Next to elevator and did not hear a thing. Did not have breakfast but did the quick run through and it looked well stocked and attended to. Pool did not use. Parking spacious and no security issues. Overall decent stay...its Springfield and not the JW/Ritz...would stay again if need be.

Thank You jserna20,

You are right, I've been here myself for almost two years here and I have never heard a complaint about noise from the elevator. I am glad you enjoyed your visit and will pass on your comments to Courtney!

A great place to stay in Springfield, they have done an excellent job of keeping up with the ever changing looks in hotels. The check in goes smoothly, rooms always clean, bfast is great. I have never had a problem staying here. Staff is courteous, although they dont have a fitness center onsite, they give you passes to a nice fitness center not to far away, great wifi, nice pool, and it is in a perfectly quiet location. It is located in a great location and I love the staff and so would you if you ever stay here.

Room Tip: The suites are great!
