Owner description: Named in 2012 as one of National Geographic's “25 Wonders of the World," Blue Lagoon has evolved from its infancy as a reservoir of geothermal runoff into a world of geothermal wonder. The unique properties of its waters provide not only an enchanting lagoon experience, but also the patented, active ingredients in Blue Lagoon skin care: silica, algae, and minerals. Blue Lagoon is located in a sprawling, 800 year old lava field in the heart of the Reykjanes Peninsula – a UNESCO Geopark. Just 20 minutes from Keflavík International Airport and 50 minutes from Reykjavík, Blue Lagoon is simultaneously remote and easily accessible.

We purchased the package which included a meal in the restaurant and this was definitely one of the highlights of our visit to the Blue Lagoon. The meals I had in Iceland were overall very good already, but this was the best out of them all. It was also a bit of a novelty to be able to have a really nice meal in a restaurant wearing a bathrobe and flip flops!

Overall we enjoyed the experience at the Blue Lagoon. It was nice and relaxing in the water and the landscape around the lagoon is also pretty special. Even though it is quite expensive to get in, it is quite a unique experience.

We arrived early afternoon and there were not that many people and we did not have to queue to get in. However in the late afternoon, a lot of tour groups started arriving and the lagoon got quite noisy and busy which made it not quite as enjoyable.

This is a must see/do attraction recently visited Iceland and booked to go in advance, I don't understand how anyone can say it is overpriced and expensive, this unique experience is worth every penny, refreshments at the swim up bar are only slightly higher than in Reykjavik town center.
I took my own towel and flip flops but did not use the flip flops, I spent roughly 2 hours there which was just about right, I would definitely visit Iceland again and most certainly the blue lagoon!

This is one of the best attractions in the world. The quality of the facility is perfection and the staff is helpful and professional. The mud mask and healing properties of the water are everything that people suggest. This can NOT be missed.

We saved this for our last morning before our flight back home. It was lovely! They have a very organized system for entering the lagoon; lockers, showing, ect.We purchased the value pack, which allowed us a bathrobe, towel, flip-flops and a free lagoon bar drink. We spent about 2 hours here, which was plenty since the warm water can be a bit much after an hour or so. Admission can be pricey depending on the package you chose to purchase. They have buckets of silica mud around the lagoon which we all enjoyed slathering on ourselves. A really fun experience!

I just love floating around in the milky warm water on a cold day - or night. Certainly, it's very expensive and popular, but if you go during the supper hour, you can avoid the crowds. Treat your skin to the therapeutic silicone-rich mud, try standing under the hot waterfall, or just find a cozy spot to loll around. A great way to spend an hour. The attached cafe is pricey, but it's nice to linger by the window with a cappucino and watch the fun afterwards.
