Owner description: Named in 2012 as one of National Geographic's “25 Wonders of the World," Blue Lagoon has evolved from its infancy as a reservoir of geothermal runoff into a world of geothermal wonder. The unique properties of its waters provide not only an enchanting lagoon experience, but also the patented, active ingredients in Blue Lagoon skin care: silica, algae, and minerals. Blue Lagoon is located in a sprawling, 800 year old lava field in the heart of the Reykjanes Peninsula – a UNESCO Geopark. Just 20 minutes from Keflavík International Airport and 50 minutes from Reykjavík, Blue Lagoon is simultaneously remote and easily accessible.

3rd visit. Each time gets better. Lava restaurant is best value; stunning views & excellent food. Service is great. We then went to Spa Retreat for a relaxing 4 hours of semi private pools, refreshing lounges, hit sauna, mineral spa & more. I only wish I could live here to visit blue lagoon more often.

My friend and I landed in Iceland last Monday. We didn't have a set schedule but we were booked for a day at the blue lagoon spa on Tuesday June 19. When I say it was an amazing treat. There were people there from all over the USA. I met a very very nice guy from Iceland there. The entire day was worth the price. I must return one day in the near future.

A must come place to experience nice warm hotspring. It has a great view of the surrounding area, and the silica clay suddenly makes you feel refreshed. Best place for the stay after you have completed the Ring road.

Our family spent a day here in February when all the surrounding was snowy and icey. It’s an opened facility but we were not cold at all because the water is hot, at some places too hot.
We booked in advance a premium option and although only adults were promised to get a robe our 8 years old daughter got one too just for free.
The staff was very friendly and helpful.
It might seem pricey but it was worth every penny. You get free mud mask and a drink from the pool bar.
