Our group of 10 barely fit this space. The bathroom situation was very tricky. As the master bath was not easy to access the 8 others had to wait a lot for shower and potty time. Difficult for the women especially.

Tips for very friendly owners, Randy and Sandy:

1. Let renters know ahead of time that they need to supply toilet paper and paper towels. There were only two rolls in each bathroom upon arrival. Difficult to run back to town down the mountain to get it after dark.

2. Our reservations were for Friday to Sunday. We were charged for Sunday night also.
We were told we could
add but not subtract a night that we had not even reserved.

3. The pull out sofa for two adult guests was unusable. The mattress was all springs. So those two slept on top of the couch and the love seat.

4. The kitchen did have large selection of pots and pans and utensils. Plates, bowls and cups were plentiful. Would recommend a large bowl for salad and a serrated knife for slicing breads.

5.When using the back burner to boil water, flames shot up around the pot. We were able to out out the fire luckily. We could not find a fire extinguisher. We then realized there were no smoke detectors. This being a pinewood cabin made it a little scary. There were no sprinklers either.

6. Children present loved the hot tub and the goats. The trail was nice. Also two fire pits were nice although there was no firewood available.

7. Porch was lovely. Could improve steps to patio off kitchen.

8. Bedrooms need reading lamps that are adequate. Also reading lamps in living area so you don't have to have overheads on fans to see.

Cabins and property are beautuful. Lots of ambiance.

Thanks for the hospitality you showed us!

The cabins were clean and easy to find. Far enough away from each other for privacy. Close to town and to the Little River Canyon Parkway. Full kitchen, grill, fire pit, hot tub. Tiny TV, but then we didn't go up there to watch tv anyway. Owners were close enough to call if needed but left you to yourselves. Cons: Cabin 1 has no shower but a huge tub. Could make do "roughing it" a couple of days. If you are accustomed to a brightly lit home, this is a little different.

My husband and I and two daughters 10 and 11 stayed here in October. This is such a peaceful place. It was a great location to both Desoto Falls and Little River Canyon or back to town for supplies or dinner. Our daughters loved the goats. The cabin was just lovely, simplistic but with all the nice amenities you look for when away from home. The mattresses were comfy and we all slept like logs. It was a nice three night relaxing trip we all needed. Plus the hot tub. It also had an area for a fire pit and wood already there for the fire. We would indeed return. We stayed in cabin#2. Oh, and Sandy one of the owners was just great.

My boyfriend and I stayed here over an extended Labor Day weekend. The proprietor was very responsive to my emails before we left and met us when we arrived. We stayed in Cabin 4, although it looked like you couldn't choose a bad cabin! The cabin had all the things you would need to make it your home, including linens, pots/pans, silverware, etc. The hot tub on the back porch was wonderful. The grounds were ours to roam and included goats, rocks to climb, and a pond. It was quite warm when we were there, but the A/C kept it cool inside the cabin. Overall, very enjoyable and we wished we had stayed longer!!
