Beside being a Boston must-see, the Yard is a lovely urban enclosure--even if it's almost always busy with foot traffic. Pat ol' John Harvard on the toe before you go.

We walked the campus and wandered in and out of Harvard Square. It was such a beautiful, peaceful area. I read a book on a lawn while my boyfriend fell asleep. And for July, the weather was so pleasant. The buildings are beautiful and it was so interesting to see the mixture of designs.

Even though you may not be able to get into Harvard, you can feel special being part of the Cambridge crowd.
