Good Hotel and good location near the museum of science, close to MIT and not far from harvard. Parking is free which adds value as most of hotels in Boston charge for valet parking. Free breakfast adds up to the value when you go with a family. All in all a good experience which we will recommend to friends

Let me add to the Very Good category. I needed a hotel within walking distance of the T subway (it's only a couple of stops from the Museum of Science, the North End and the sporting arena), and was pleasantly suprised to find the Hampton at about $110 per night. The front desk was very pleasant and the included breakfast is kind of a fast food buffet, but it had juice and did the job.
Parking is free, but you have to check in first.

Was in town to see Bruin hockey game at the Garden. Hotel consistent with Hampton's quality standards. Good service, clean rooms and good continental breakfast. As others have mentioned, a benefit of staying here is no charge for parking. Took the subway ("T") two stops to the Garden for the game.

Booking a last minute stay in Boston was challenging. No hotel rooms were available within our price range and close to the Prudential Center. A cursory search on Expedia located this hotel at an affordable rate. It turned out to be a great choice and was way more affordable than the downtown hotels.

Pros: Affordable, clean, friendly, WiFi, free breakfast, Close to T & Science Center, Quiet
Cons: A bit of a walk to anything worthwhile, Lechmere T station is somewhat irregular

The only serious con to staying here was finding trains that were actually coming into the station (2 blocks away from hotel) in the evening. The Lechmere station is the end of the Green Line and is supposedly going to be undergoing some renovations. Trains would routinely go out of service at Government Center (3 stops before) or North Station (2 stops before) and you had to keep waiting for another train in the slight hopes that it would flash with LECHMERE. That was really the only downside - location, that is.

We traveled to Boston over President's Day Weekend. I stayed at the Hampton Inn for a number of reasons. 1st - The Price... One of the cheapest in the Boston area, while still being downtown. There are other hotels that may not be that much more cost wise, but if you have a car, expect to pay around $30 everywhere ELSE, but here. NO PARKING FEE in their underground garage... So if you factor that and have a car, it's cheaper here. 2nd - Location... Just a short walk to the Lechmere Station on the Green Line (slightly longer to the Museum of Science). 3rd - The service was very good again (we had stayed here once before). 4th - The rooms were very clean, bed comfortable... However, the only knock was that when the fan kicked in, it was extremely loud, which kept us up so we had to turn it off. 5th - Breakfast is included. Helped the trip budget.
Also, I would have loved to have a pool, but considering everything else listed above and we didn't spend much time in our hotel, that was ok. I will absolutely stay here again.

Just a few miles from the airport, 5 minute walk from Cambridge Galleria and 15 minute walk from town center. Free WIFI was there, also breakfast is included in the room rates. Nothing for a vacation but definitely worth the money for a business trip. rooms are clean, staff is friendly and even on the street side the traffic volume of the O'Brian Highway is admissible.

My husband, two kids (5 and 2) and I went to Boston during the long weekend in October hoping to keep the kids entertained and enjoy the fall foliage. We searched many hotels and found the Hampton Inn gave us all we needed at a great value! We knew staying in the heart of Boston would be expensive, so we looked on the outskirts. Yet, still hoping for a decent place to sleep, something clean, convenient and cost efficient.

First, this hotel does not charge for parking like most Boston Hotels. That saved us at least another $30 a day. Nice, esp. since the hotel was already cheaper then most. The one negative thing I would say was that when we arrived on Sat. evening there was only one parking spot left. However, I did ask the front desk what would happen if we returned from dinner and there were no spots left. He told us not to worry and he had a few spots "stashed away". What that means, I don't know...since luckily, when we got back there was one spot left. Another con, there is no pool and the fitness center was being renovated.

We're usually not disappointed with Hampton Inn's breakfasts. This was the case at this Hampton Inn. It wasn't the best we've had, but decent. Food was always well stocked and it conisisted of 2 hot dishes, muffins, danishes, cold and hot cereal and fruit. On Sunday morning we did wait about 10 minutes for a table since the eating area is small. We could have sat at the sofas in the lobby (they're right next to each other) but with two young kids it would have been very messy! It seems like this hotel, though not large, has a hard time accomodating a full house.

The rooms were a decent size, though I would have liked them to be slightly larger for two active kids. The hallway door is also pretty thin since you can hear anything that goes on in the hallway. Luckily the floor was pretty quiet most of the time.
Two big pluses is that it is within walking distance from the Musuem of Science (saving us parking $ again) and the Prudential Center Mall - where we could grab a nice decent dinner. It had a food court and restaurants.

It was only about 10 minutes driving to other sites in Boston. We would stay again.
