I expected lots of "required reading" but the exhibits mostly didn't need explanation to be really interesting. The explanations added to the interest. Lots of whimsy on the exhibits. And I finally have a basic understanding of Daguerreotypes. Wonderful series of short videos of female students explaining internet basics . And lots more - including a terrific museum shop.

I've always has a fascination for art and robots. Combine the two and you have the MIT museum. Just a short walk over the Charles bridge drops you off right in the middle of the college and the museum is right up the street.
Here you will get to see beautiful holograms, amazing robots, and very cool working art with a million little pieces. A surprise around every corner. Don't forget to visit the gift shop it has a million things you never knew you needed.
Cheers

We went here (for the 2nd time) with my son's 8th grade class on their trip to Boston. All of the kids loved this museum! It's fun and educational - so neat to see what is created from the incredible minds at MIT.

This is a wonderful place filled with the inventions and whimsy that can only come from engineer artists. It is huge (start on second floor). You will be amazed. Our grandchildren, ages 6 and 9 loved it. We all had trouble leaving as we kept finding more and more to look at.
