“Just Average Food and Service”
Reviewed 27 July 2014

We were looking for a restaurant before going on a sunset cruise and Dante, located in the Royal Sonesta in Cambridge, was a convenient place to eat. The 3 hosts that greeted us could have cared less if we ate there or not. The server was adequate and the food - baked chicken and ravioli was just okay. Find another place if you are in the Cambridge area.

“Good italian food”
Reviewed 24 July 2014

Staying at the royal sonesta hotel, we decided to dine in the hotel Dante restaurant. This proved a good choice. We shared some starters and had different main courses (small versions for the children). The food was well coocked to italian tradition, the service very friendly.

“Don't bother.”
Reviewed 19 July 2014

The food was fresh and hot, but selection low and no imagination. The waiter needed to the center of attention. I'd rather he didn't.

Had caprese, a couple of pasta dishes, side of greens, and a bottle of Dolcet Marchesi. $133.75 total.

Boston has lots of excellent restaurants - so look for others.

“Not real Italian”
Reviewed 12 July 2014 via mobile

Read in hotel booklet they were voted #1 in Italian. Obviously they were mistaken just because they use Italian language on the menu does not mean you will be able to choose traditional Italian food. We got up and left.

“Dining at Dante was a treat”
Reviewed 1 July 2014

Restaurant Dante has many great attributes - a good menu and wine list, great location and fabulous staff!
The outdoor area was perfect for warm summer evenings with a menu that offered local foods, drawing on Italian American experience, served with Italian flare. With a few trips to Italy before dining at Dante, and now living in Tuscany, I was not disappointed by the experience.
With the option of smaller servings, it was easy to enjoy a wider range of the menu, and the evidence of authentic Italian experience Executive Chef, Dante de Magistris, has was savoured in every bite.
