“For The Curious”

Cambridge Antique Market
Ranked #25 of 64 things to do in Cambridge
Attraction details
Reviewed 29 August 2016 via mobile

This is right across the road from our Holday Inn Express. Not in the city centre of Boston, it attracts tourists who are antique-curious and crazy. Over 4 floors some items date back to New England and civil war days. One can obtain a good bargain here. Visit is suggested for your first day or last day.

I love flea markets and antique shops so this place was perfect. 5 floors of booths with products ranging from memorabilia to true antiques, clothes, furniture, cooking items and jewelry. Was so much fun just poking around the more than 100 booths, looking for treasures. There is an elevator for those that find the flights of very old, uneven stairs a challenge (no 2 risers the same height) but I loved the age of the building. It just made the hunt all the better. And it is across the street from the Lechmere station on the T line so it was very easy to get to.

This massive old building which houses four floors of antiques and vintage items.

The turnover here is slow so as locals we stop by only few times a year. There's a lot of nice stuff from vintage trinkets to antique furniture and bikes. There's also a lot of junk, but hey, that's part of antiquing.

Worth a stop of you are visiting the area!

Free parking and close to Lechmere T stop, this indoor market has treasures of all kinds. If you're visiting Boston and Cambridge find amazing, local memorabilia. If you're local, find great items for home decor and more. I picked up book-ends, chairs, a shelf, lamps, lanterns ($5 each!) and a beautiful architectural piece of wood for a headboard mantle. I can't wait to go back.

It has 5 floors and up to 150 dealers, mostly selling smaller items and not as much furniture. If you are looking for porcelain, vintage clothes & jewelry, there are plenty of items to look through. There is 1 staff per floor to open display cases for you. There are even interesting prints for sale in at least 1-2 of the restrooms. It's a good place to browse indoors when weather too hot/wet/cold. Lots of sales but otherwise not too much budge on prices.
