I stay here since it is close to work, away fromt he hustle and bustle of Cambridge and if I chose to, still within reach of the Harvard Sq, Kendall Sq and all the other interesting places.

It has a decent restaurant. The rooms are sort of run down, but the house keeping does a great job.

Went into Boston for a reception at the MFA and wanted to stay in Boston for the night. I chose the Hyatt Regency Cambridge at it was a good choice. A little bit of a hunt for the parking garage but once we found it we drove in, found a space and got to the front desk easily. Hotel is well kept, very busy with multiple events happening. Desk service was quick and friendly. The room was nicely kept. Only thing was that the bathroom was down a short hallway with the closet door directly across from the bathroom door. This was somewhat awkward.
Other than that the room was great, comfy bed, excellent view of the Charles, Exxon Sign over Fenway park and the beautiful Boston skyline.

Room Tip: Make sure you get a river view room

I stayed at the Hyatt Regency in Cambridge April 25-27 and was extremely impressed with the overall property. From the front desk personnel to the bell staff and shuttle drivers, everyone was professional and friendly. The room was spotless and everything seemed brand new. They even had a docking station for my iPhone at the side of the bed.

There was a coffee maker with Starbucks coffee in the room and a full service bar and restaurant in the lobby. The shuttle service was free and ran from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. to all the shops, restaurants, colleges, universities and tourist areas. It made getting around easy and the shuttle drivers were uber friendly. Even when we had to drive the curb assistants gave spot on directions to get us where we needed to go.

You will pay the price for a big city hotel but in comparison to other cities, the Hyatt was just amazing. Big rooms, comfortable beds, spotless bathroom and a great TV. It was quiet and peaceful.

The restaurant food was excellent and there is a fitness center and pool. You should know the pool is a lap pool and anyone with physical issues may not find getting in and out of it too easy. It also isn't a pool for little kids either. If it is warm and sunny, there is also a deck with plush lounge chairs to work on a tan.

Finally, if you get a room with a view of the Charles River, it is a joy to open the massive windows and watch the college crews row by. Some of the rooms also have a private balcony to the inside overlooking the foyer / lobby.

Great place to stay. I highly recommend it.

Room Tip: We were on the 9th floor overlooking the river and we had an inside balcony. There were children and...

Stayed here for four nights for the Boston Marathon.

Front desk were most helpful, friendly and check in was a breeze.

Our room on the fourth floor was of average size and well appointed with good quality furrniture. Room was quiet, with no noises from other hotel guests. TV and hifi worked well. Bathroom OK, with plenty of hot water and good pressure. Like most hotels these days, no kettle. It's coffee or nothing. Beds were slightly soft, which I don't find comfortable.

We used the hotel restaurant several times 'cos there are no restaurants in easy walking distance. Food was decent and not overly expensive. Sure, the hotel has a free shuttle to locations in and around Cambridge, but this has it's limitations and inconveniences. Pity they don't run a regular shuttle to Boylston/Newbury Streets.

I've stayed at this Hyatt many times since 1979 (anyone old enough to remember the Harvard Computer Graphics Week conference?) and it was my wife's favourite so I continue to use it when I come to town. The river-view rooms are fabulous if you like watching the rowers!

The room was clean, with great linens on large, comfortable bed, and the bathroom is nicely segregated from the sleeping area. Large flat-panel tele, although no refrigerator to keep anything cool is a minor inconvenience.

The internet was easy to connect and fast, although I left my wireless mouse behind and somehow it wasn't 'found' (it is useless without the USB nib!).

I had the Business Plan rate which included the internet and breakfast. Sometimes I have stayed here and there is no charge for internet, and some times there is, it varies and is a bit irritating that they cannot be as accommodating as the mid-range hotel chains.

Very walkable to Copley Square, Boston University and the Green line (subway).

Room Tip: Get a room beyond the fire doors (which close at night) to be less affected by atrium noise
