Stayed at this newly opened hotel for a few days at the beginning of July 2006. Could only find 3* hotels in Bosa, so wasn't expecting too much. However, the hotel which only opened two months ago was very comfortable and clean, and the pool area was empty. The area around the hotel is a little scrubby, and you have to walk along the road to the beach area. During July it was just as easy to drive and park opposite the beach.
Bosa Marina is very Italian and uncommercialised. The beach is very safe and sandy. The beach cafe's serve reasonable lunch snacks and drinks and are very friendly. The nearby (5 mins) town of Bosa is full of cobbled streets and medieval houses, and very safe to walk around of an evening. The local bars and restaurants are also very friendly. Especially when Italy win a game during the world cup! The streets soon become ful of mad dancing Italians waving flags, or driving around with flags from every orafice tooting their horns.
If you want a complete contrast to Costa Esmeralda (millionaires paradise and prices) try Bosa. Very family orientated.
