“Fantastic food and a great spot”
Reviewed 20 May 2014

If you're going to come here, don't unless you want to go half board. There are about 4-5 double rooms on the farm, and while they are clean and they have air con, they are nothing amazing. They dont for example have a soap products, and are fairly small.

However, if you stay on an agriturismo, you should not be expecting a 4-star hotel. Staying here is all about the food. Our dinners were between 6 and 10 courses depending on the day. Each day was a jug of wine, a plate of cheese and meats, then veg, then pasta, then meat, then a desert pastry, then fruit, then coffee, then shots of local alcohol. The difference in the number of courses was how many meat courses they served that day (it's usually either goat or pork from the farm, but could include tasty intestines!) Breakfast is simple but large, including pastries, coffee, fresh yoghurt, bread and jams.

The location is great, overlooking the bay of cala gonone. Superb. It's easy to find and get in and out. The chef, a lady, speaks english, but you rarely see her as she's busy. The waitresses dont really speak much. There's also no way to book except phoning them up (i think) but i did that the day before we arrived, and it was easy.

We counted 9 courses for our 25€ inc a jug of robust red wine. Suckling pig, goat, sweet pancakes, home-made pasta all eaten communally under the eaves in the one sitting. Well worth the 15 min drive up the hill. Blah blah blah blah blah blah....

This agriturismo is located on the road going down to calagonome but has nothing in common with this small resort ! To get to the agriturismo you have to take a dirt road for 1.5km, this road is not too bad but a bit narrow. the main house where the kitchen is is surrounded by big olive trees, and the rooms are located in a barn like building with a stone facade, and beams.the rooms are clean and simple but with every thing you need!the nights are very quiet and we slept very well! the atmosphere is very relaxed, there is also a small camping spot under the trees, you can see goats (if you are lucky although you can hear their bell), the view is great from this place, you can see the sea!! the highlight is the food, each night they serve home made food (and a lot of it!) and everything is home made and from their land : cured ham, cheese, meat. vegetables... everything!! We felt very peaceful in this place and we trully recommend it for nature lovers!

Room Tip: the night + breakfast and diner = 90 euros for 2 people!! Pace yourself during the diner, they ser...

We came to Nuraghe Mannu on the recommendation of some other guests at our hotel and the fact that I had enjoyed great food in an agriturismo in Puglia. We weren't disappointed. It was a lovely evening, loads of food, friendly service and a great experience, something a bit different to do within easy reach of Cala Gonone. The highlight for me was the delicious dessert, I will be emailing to beg for the recipe....

We stayed there for a three nights.
It is positioned between Dorgali and Cala Ganone.
The road between the B&B and the main road is a very narrow dirt road and you need to be careful.
The breakfasts were very simple coffee, jam, honey and if you ask they will give you a ham and a cheese.
The rooms are simple and small. The minus is that you can hear your neighbors very clear, especially in the bathroom. The bed was very soft. There was only one person who spoke in English at the time.
I had only breakfasts did not order supper so I cannot tell how was it.
MInimum price iwas 54 pro room in May 2013.

Home grown home cooked Sardinian food in a lovely place. The hosts were very friendly though we only ate dinner here. My Husband is a complete carnivore and loved the dinner so much he ate enough for four! The roast suckling pig was the best we had in Sardinia! Great value for money as eating out in Sardinia can be quite expensive!

We came across this Agriturismo quite by chance online and consider ourselves very lucky we did. For the price you pay it is second to none in terms of value. We had a nice double room with en-suite. The rooms are old but comfortable and the only downside is the lack of light but in summer time you are outside most of the time. The main draw is the food. Most is grown and cooked on site and is simply fantastic. Numerous courses that included roasted pig, beautiful pasta dishes, lovely aubergine and other seasonal vegetables not to mention a bountiful supply of robust wine, and lovely fresh fruit and coffee to finish the meal. A real gem of a place. Location is a little tricky as it is quite far from the town but some things are worth a small inconvenience and this is one of those things.
