We were very surprised with this hotel, as it seems difficult to find a reasonably priced, but good quality hotel in the area.

The room was comfortable, but definitely opt for a sea view. The only problem we encountered was that the air conditionng was a bit pathetic.

The hotel is in a great location, with easy access to a series of local beaches by road to the north and cala luna and cala sissine to the south. The staff speak both English and German, which is very impressive.

The hotel has a great terrace with a wonderful pool and sitting out at anytime of the day is great, the view is wonderful.

We only ate breakfast in the hotel. This is nothing special with the standard Sardinian offering of Ham, Salami, Cheese with Bread Rolls, Fruit, cereals with yoghurt and cake. We didn't eat dinner in the hotel restaurant, but town has a huge selection of restaurants. Having tried a few I would recommend the "Road House Blues" and "Pop Hotel".

We got lost on the way to the hotel as we initially drove striaght into town, but if you just keep going up the hill, even when you've lost faith you will suddenly see it.

A very nice and quiet hotel at the edge of the village, with only modest traffic. Sheep are more noisy...Comfortable and clean rooms, but only downside are the thin walls that makes you hear much of the bathroom noises from the neigbours.

Beautiful scenery and architecture make up for this, together with very helpful and friendly staff who speak reasonable English and better German. Kitchen ok with some typical local dishes, all freshly prepared.

Hotel attracts almost no familes with small childeren, so we had a very quiet time for two weeks in June.

As the hotel is on the slope of a rather steep mountain, a car is recommended to get to the village. No beaches in walking distance, but very good one is within 5 minutes drive. Richard and Ronald Schuurman - The Netherlands

We went to Sardinia in June and travelled across the island, staying at Villa Gustui Maris for a week. It was amazing! I had read good reviews on trip advisor prior to travelling, however it exceeded my expectations.

The location on a hillside affords spectacular views of the rugged coastline to the south and is well worth the effort of a steep walk back from the main centre in the evening. I would however recommend hiring a car during your stay, as the beach at Cala Ganone is not the best and there are some great beaches with fine white sand to the north, with other more stoney, but spectacular beaches that can be reached by boat to the south.

At the hotel itself, the pool area and terrace was beautiful. We spent one full day by the pool and also enjoyed eating breakfast and dinner in this romantic setting whilst watching little lizards hide in the flowers! The food was lovely and generally better than other food we ate in Cala Ganone. Breakfast too was surprisingly good, with a bigger selection than you would normally expect in Sardinia or Italy more generally.

Everything around the hotel was finished to a really high standard and the rooms were no exception, although there were no ironing facilities which meant my husband was sometimes rather creased! (have crammed everything into his case!).

The hotel staff were lovely, and while only one spoke fluent English, all were very accomodating, providing maps and advice on trips, food etc during our stay. We were even given a large bottle of Mirto at the end of our stay as a gift from the hotel!

Overall a lovely hotel which was really great value for money. I would definately recommend it above others we have stayed in, although perhaps more for couples than families - there was one family with annoying children while we were staying, which proved a mild irritation for both ourselves and other hotel guests who were enjoying the tranquility.
