“Lovely hotel, seaside location & beautiful terrace!”
Reviewed 13 July 2014

We stayed here for 2 nights in July 2014. The hotel is right by the sea, with a stunning rooftop terrace and a very good restaurant. It is conveniently located a short walk down to the port (renting you own boat to explore the Golfo di Orosei is an absolute MUST!), and on a seaside strip with plenty of other restaurants and hotels. Good value, clean and simple rooms. Pretty good breakfasts (homemade yoghurt, fresh fruit, eggs, cured meats, toast etc). We found free parking on the side streets after a bit of trawling. Short walk to a supermarket on the sidestreet for supplies. Wifi was unfortunately not free. Cala Gonone is gorgeous and Cala Luna makes a perfect base!

Room Tip: We had a basic room that had a boring view ver the sidestreet, but it could be worth paying for a se...

Stayed here for 3 nights. The whole hotel was spotlessly clean. The family room had a double bed, bunk beds for the kids and was nicely decorated. The rooms are fitted with electric metal blinds that do an excellent job of keeping the light out if you want to sleep in late (or put the kids to bed early!). There's a nice solarium on the top floor with excellent views, there's also a gym if you want to burn off some of the pasta! The reception staff were helpful and spoke English. Didn't eat at the restaurant so can't comment on the food. The continental style breakfast was a fairly basic but acceptable.
One issue you seem to get anywhere in Cala Gonone is parking. Had to park several minutes walk away from the Hotel up a steep hill, there's no dedicated parking (although there are two spots outside the hotel you can stop and unload you luggage).
The Hotel is right on the beach front, close to the Harbour, restaurants and the few shops. I definitely book again if going back.

We spent 3 nights at Hotel Cala Luna last week and wish we could have stayed longer. Such a relaxing and beautiful beachside town. The hotel is perfectly located, and the room was great value. Spacious enough, clean and modern, and we had a side balcony. The hotel wifi was good too. On the rooftop there was a solarium with couches, sunbeds and a gorgeous 180 degree view of the ocean and Cala Gonone. Breakfast was fine with plenty on offer, and parking was easy enough to find that was free on the side streets. Highly recommend!

Great little modern design hotel right across the road from the sea, good size rooms with all you need and spotless bathrooms. Friendly reception staff who booked us a boat hire for the next day too, not hard to do it yourself but we only had 2 days so it saved us the hassle. However you do it make sure you do this trip, totally worth the E80 blasting up the coast looking at all the lovely beaches and coast line. Good breakfast too out on the terrace. I can imagine parking being a bit tricky in peak season but it was fine for us. Good little supermarket in the street behind too for paninis etc. Enjoy!!

Room Tip: Definitely upgrade your room to a sea view with balcony, not that much more expensive and really wor...

We heard about the hotel through a friend who was in it and had a great time and all that remains to say is that the choice was excellent. The hotel staff perfect host, the closeness to the waterline gives a sense of peace, the food is quite good and the rooms certainly fill the need for.
we love it

Room Tip: best location. ask for a room with a view

The location close to the beach was great and the view form the hotel, too.
The hotel is very stylish. They have a good breakfast buffet with scrambled eggs, fresh fruits and warm brioches. We had diner on the terrace once, too: 22 EUR for 3 courses of really good food. (Service was a bit slow, though).
One more thing: have icecreame at Fancello's, just 3 bocks down the street.

Wonderful place to sit and watch the sun set over the sea. At this time of year it can get chilly but the staff come out with a lovely fleecy blanket to snuggle into so that you can remain there after dusk and people watch. Lovely chill out music and very helpful staff. I thought that I had left my purse there (turned out that I hadn't) and the staff were so kind helping me look and even ringing the staff that had been on duty to see if they had found it. Didn't sample the rooms or the food but it is a great location for a drink. When we were there a platform was being built next to the drinking area and this will have a fantastic view of the beach and the sea and will be a great place to eat on warmer nights or during the day.
