This a small but excellent middle eastern restaurant and a great addition to Lowell.
The service was freindly and provided us with excellent suggestions.
The Babylon Quiza ( roasted veal shank) was exceptional. The lamb tikka marvelous ( especially the bread that is like Naan but more biscuity and buttery). The chicken was also excellent.
All were spiced ( but not hot) with layers of flavors.
The desserts were very good but not as great as the mains and appertizers.
There is no alcohol, and we didn't ask if we could byob.
Music is also there from 7 Pm on Fridays.

Delicious Middle Eastern food, but different from the norm. This is an Iraqi restaurant, so the food is prepared and spiced a little differently. Dishes are also served with dilled vegetables, which are delicious. The menu is a little limited, but sufficient to meet most people's needs. They do not have a liquor license, but the meal includes a complimentary cup of tea, and there are any number of other drink options. The decor is attractive and casual, and the restaurant is conveniently located in downtown Lowell, very close to the Lowell Auditorium and the Merrimack Repertory Theatre.

Intriguing aromas lightly scent the air as you step into this small but pleasant restaurant. We were warmly greeted and seated at our table. Although we are familiar with Greek and Lebanese stlye food this was a new experience. The food was delicious, prepared to order and served with style. Our server offered to explain any dishes or terms that might be familiar. My chicken was fall off the bone tender and flavorful in a way that is hard to describe. The spices used enhanced the food, but were not spicy hot. My husband had lamb with a basmati rice. He is usually someone who doesn't care much for rice but he stopped just short of licking the plate.

This is a family bisiness and the care shows. If you would enjoy something different this is the place to go. Everything is just fantastic and prices are extremely reasonable for the quality of the food.. I predict this place will do very well. I know we will be returning to try some other dishes.
