“Fabulous family holiday resort!”
Reviewed 23 September 2012

We have just come back from a one week stay at Chia Laguna Resort as a family and we had a fabulous time.
The hotel staff are friendly and very welcoming. Always pleased to help and quick to sort out any problems or queries.
We had 2 interconnecting rooms with balconies right by the children's pool and play area and the 'Miniclub' kids club house.
The rooms were clean, comfortable and spacious and the bathrooms were of a good standard too. Our rooms had air conditioning, tv's (Italian channels) and a safe. In the bathroom a hairdryer was provided.
The resort never seemed too busy, but with a nice number of guests floating around. You could always find a table at dinner or at the bar and there were plenty of sun loungers by the pool and at the private beach. Beach and pool towels are provided and this was a very useful service as we were constantly by the water as it was so beautiful. The pools were quite cold but this proved to be refreshing on the hotter days.
We stayed at the resort on a half board basis and so dined at the Bouganville restaurant for breakfast and dinner. This restaurant offers a buffet and I was dubious as we have had some disasterous buffet meals on half board but the food was wonderful. It was exciting to see the fresh array of foods on offer every night. I have to say a great deal of it was seafood and so if you aren't too keen on that then you may be disappointed but on the whole there was plenty of other dishes on offer. Infact the buffets turned into a real highlight of the stay for my husband! We would both eat so much for breakast that we ended up not eating again til dinner time so it was very cost effective too but our children, who are 7 & 4 both needed lunches and that wasn't cheap. As it is a resort and it isn't really within walking distance of much else you are obliged to pay the resorts high prices for food and drinks but the quality of the food at the poolside bar & the Le Dune Campana beach restaurant was brilliant so not bad value.
There is a little train that runs every 15 mins til 7pm to the beach and back and the beach is gorgeous, uncrowded, white sands and crystal clear warm waters. A short stroll over some rock and you are on the neighbouring beach which is equally beautiful and has some beach snack bars with drinks etc but the sun beds cost 15-25 euros for the day so beware!
The private beach has it's own snack bar with drinks service but all food seems to stop at 3pm whcich sounds quite late but dinner isn't til 7.30pm and the time really runs away from you here as it is so relaxed.
The resort itself is very pretty and green(unlike the surrrounding areas which were quite rugged and arid) with lots of beautiful shrubs and little lizards running around.
In the evenings after dinner at 9pm the 'baby dancing' would start which was children's disco and entertainment run by the very energetic and tireless 'equipe' team. After which (at 9.30) there follows either a quiz or cabaret show followed by some music and adult dancing.
The kids club team are outstanding!!! We had visited right at the end of the season when they were finishing 'miniclub' but they were still enthusiastic, caring, energetic and funny. They played with all the kids at breakfast and dinner and did trips to the beach everyother day. They had snack times. magic shows and games and truly cared about and enjoyed what they did.
There were only 10 left out of an original team of 32 during our stay and so they all worked from morning til night with not many breaks and hardly any rotation but were always chirpy and funny.
They really made it a special holiday for our kids and us! One of the cabaret shows they did was one of the funniest evenings out I've ever had! Each one of them is extremely talented and dedicated and we had tears in our eyes as we said goodbye to them on our last day.
I would highly recommend this resort and can't really think of any negative points. We are hoping to book again next year amd Mid September seemed to be perfect as we avoided the masses!

Just returned from 10 day stay at chia, overall very good and we all had a great time.
Good points
Excellent beaches great for kids
Nice rooms, air con and comfy beds
Good train service to beach
Excellent buffet food- we went half board
Really great child care - our kids really loved spending time with the staff from mini club. All very enthusastic, fun ,caring and hard working
Fun kids disco in the evening v catchy tunes!

Areas for development
Rooms not ready when arrived - not ideal when travelled all day with young kids. No apology given and when eventually shown to room, one room was double when meant to be a twin.

Overall very good, especially the mini club they work very hard! Would recommend for families of all ages.

We spent 14 days at Chia Laguna Resort Village, me, my husband and our daughters. We had a wonderful holiday full of sun, sea and fun. The location is superb, I preferred the Village because of the greenery around us and enjoy a small yard with two chairs and a table. Children do not bother us too much, took care all the staff of the Mini Club which was Cristian Ionut Lefter, Greta Persano, Claudia Screti, Bibi, Camilla, Julia, Tatiana to deal with them through all the activities they had for children. In the morning we had a various beach games for children and at lunch drew they making pizza or cookies at Mini Club followed by entertainment at the children's pool, and after then had evening disco. Every evening we all benefit from such shows like as: Disney story, Remember the time - a show dedicated to Michael Jackson, The Lion King, Variety show, Moulan Rouge, Chia's Got Talent and more. We would like to thank all the people of Mini Club for fun the children and care for them. I was pleased with the accommodation, food and entertainment. The adults have benefited from pool aqua gym, Zumba gym, along with Carolina Calcide and Marco Francone, and the beach we was trained to do aqua gym, stretching, zumba with Ilaria and Carolina. We relaxed and we had a lot of fun. The beach "Dune di Campana" is beautiful and the sea water was very clean. I do not agree with the idea of paying the first two rows of lounge chairs for sunbathing and the prices I thought were a little exaggerated. This in the Greek resorts which was been ( like Grecotel resorts), everybody can stays at the beach wherever they wanted. The dish from "Le Dune" beach restaurant was excellent, vey nice pizza, pasta and fresh fish. We got a dinner to the Bouganville restaurant, and we had a lot of types of food, pasta, salads and other dishes, including grilled fish or seafood, pork, beef and the desserts were wonderful, plus fresh fruits all the time. Everyone was friendly and nice. I want to get back with my family in this beautiful place. We loved in this summer Chia Laguna Resort.

I stayed with my husband and 2 children who are 10 and 12 in chia village. We stayed in a cottage style apartment which was lovely and very comfortable. The main pool was beautiful and towels were provided and there was no scrabble for beds. Main half board restaurant was on a buffet style and the quality of the food was very good, possibly too varied at times, think they should concentrate on more select dishes. Nightly entertainment was watchable if not a bit cheesy but extremely captivating for the children and enabled us to relax having a drink for a few hours every evening. The beach was beautiful and again beds and towels were provided and there was an excellent cafe restaurant. The thing that sets this holiday apart are the staff, from the aerobics teacher who does zumba on poolside, to the restaurant staff, particularly Jessica who was lovely, to the animation (entertainment staff), such as Marco, Ilaria and Fabio who all made you feel sooooooooooo special even though they see so many holiday makers every week. Generally all staff are very friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. Thank you we had a fantastic time.

Room Tip: If you choose a room with an upstairs, the upstairs tended to not be as air-conditioned as down stai...

When the GM of a resort welcomes you at check-in and then scoots off to help load someone else's suitcases onto a golf buggy, you know you've arrived somewhere special. Roberto Micciulli is a very hands-on General Manager and it is evident all over the fabulous Chia Laguna resort. We stayed in the family designated Village and it couldn't have been any better. The accommodation (superior garden) with its mezzanine floor was a perfect size for this family of 4, more than enough space for everyone and 2 bathrooms. The mini-club (aged 3+) was loved by our 4yr old and we must single out BB, Tatiana, Veronica and Marco - these guys really enjoy being around children and it showed. The food is fantastic whether you're sampling the buffet dinner included in the half-board at Bourganville Restaurant or heading to the Japanese overlooking the main Village Piazza with the sea in the background. The main swimming pool is wonderful and there is a separate children's pool located by the mini-club along with a small play area. The beach is accessed by a mini train service to take you 700m down the road where there were ample loungers regardless of time of day. The sea is crystal clear and the Dune Campana restaurant for lunch was our favourite spot to eat, almost every day! All in all it was the holiday we were hoping for and I would not hesitate to recommend it to other families. We shall return!

Room Tip: Rooms further up the hill therefore away from the pool will be quieter if you don't want too muc...

For us this was just perfect. We have a 17 months old boy and we found here a very welcoming, friendly and safe environment for our Luca. He had a great time jumping into the pool, running around with the other kids, at the nursery with Veronica and on the beach. He loved the little train taking him down to the sea and the food both at his special Bimbi restaurant and at the main bouffet. We loved it too. The wines are lovely and reasonably priced (try the Buio Buio) and the staff always have a smile on their faces (99% of them anyway!). We used the babysitting service few times and managed to have some times to ourselves so we came back relaxed and happy. Miles away from a MW holiday though! The clientele is on another level all together!
It's not cheap but with small kids you can't really go wrong here.
We'll like to come back, for sure.

Room Tip: We had booked a balcony room at the Village but got upgraded to a garden one! Much better with a chi...
