Will not recommend to anyone who travel 4*/5* . Hotel Is Morus offer poor food and beverage selection . Breakfast 2* very very poor . Dinner 3* service similar to a road cafe . No elegance , no proper manner . Quality and choice of food selection is very poor . We stayed at cottage . Its not noisy so you may get good night of sleep . Cottages does not have anything in it accept bad and tv . No fruits , no amenities , no cattle.. nothing . Only plastic caps . Beach is dirty . Any small request from staff usually forwarded unattended . Its seems that people working here not really happy . Spend your vocation elsewhere . Thank you.

Nice hotel including the good food. Only remark, was the ants marching through the bathroom. The location of the hotel was perfect, just at the seaside. The price was average and including the breakfast and dinner or lunch.

We are a very well-travelled couple in our 30s, speak fluent Italian and have been to Italy well over a couple dozen times, including having successfully navigated the typically treacherous waters of tourist trap-rich big cities like Rome, Florence and Venice, but this experience has certainly qualified as our worst in Italy - no mean feat. Service is indifferent and when not downright appalling (they did not even offer to help us with our baggage at either check-in or check-out!). Room cleanliness is average at best - and privacy/soundproofing in the rooms are not the best as the corridors are not carpeted and the walls are paper-thin (you can clearly hear people having a shower next door, or walking up and down the tiled corridor). Food is so-so and definitely more 3-star than 4 (buffet-type both for breakfast and evenings, with not enough variety or quality in either). Waiting service at the tables is terribly slow and impersonal. The hotel has a nice pool and is in the midst of a nice, forested and fairly remote part of Southwestern Sardinia, but that's about as good as it gets. The beach is a tiny sliver of sand cradled amongst rocky outcrops and by far not one of the even average beaches in Sardinia, and the rest of the facilities and services of the hotel are nothing to write home about (the aesthetics/design of the place seems to confuse countryside rustic with downright old and basic). Additionally, and crucially, the whole place seems to cater for unsuspecting Russian tourists (they heavily advertise their wares and staff language skills in Russian in brochures and websites) and weddings mostly (of which we had to suffer two on subsequent evenings over the course of our long weekend stay there), the latter with music going into the small hours and the hotel staff distracted by/focused on the wedding proceedings and logistics rather than on making their room-rate paying guests feel equally welcome. Ultimately, it would be fair to say that one could decide to put up with all these foibles and still enjoy the place's setting and peacefulness, were it not for the fact that it is impossible to overlook the fact that paying nearly 450 EUR a night in a four-star rated property should definitely give you a much different sense of enjoyment as well as a much more satisfying experience overall. There are many, many better places to be experienced in Sardinia, and nearly all of them offer better value for money, better service, better facilities and better beaches than this rip-off joint, certainly the only place in Italy that has ever managed to make us feel not welcome. Avoid at all costs!!!

We stayed for a week at Is Morus from 18 August 2012 in one of their three bedroom beachfront villas (beautiful seaview from the villa) and altogether had a lovely holiday. Accomodation rates are not cheap but then Sardinia is generally expensive. Manola at reservations handled our booking very efficiently and provided us with prompt and accurate information. The hotel is well located with several strips of private beach, and lies in a pine forest which offers welcome shade during the hot day and is also a charming setting. The beach was just steps away from our villa.... all guests have a sun umbrella and towels and deckchairs reserved for them every day on the beach so there is none of that fighting to get a good space early in the morning battle. The whole hotel is very tasteful, our villa was very comfortable and spacious and amply accommodated our large family of four children plus nanny. The villa was cleaned very well daily and sheets were changed during our stay. All the staff was extremely friendly, helpful and courteous. The food in the restaurant was good at breakfast (although the choice not as vast as some bigger five stars) and very good at dinner (four course meal with one starter, one entrée from a choice of 2, one main dish from a choice of 3....every day there was a choice from a red meat, poultry and fish, and dessert of fruit or ice cream). This proved to be somewhat challenging with our four young children as although we often made it early to dinner, we never finished before 9pm and the sometimes long waits between the courses were difficult to manage. They also accommodated my vegetarian menu and kids' menu.....I consulted the menu every morning and provided Massimo the maitre d, with vegetarian suggestions which were always provided. Food was fresh, tasty, well presented and generous. Once a week they hold a special dinner at the grill restaurant overlooking the sea (which is open daily for lunch although the menu is somewhat limited). The kids' club is an outdoor play area in the pine forest...less suitable for older children who like to have planned activities such as arts and crafts. There were hardly any kids at the club when we stayed. We however did not mind as we preferred our children to enjoy the beautiful beach (clean white sand, yes there was seaweed but it didn't bother us) and pool (pool was very warm so the kids could stay in for a long time, also there were quite a few beach toys at guests' disposal...there are three circular pools joined together, two of which are suitable for young children) than to stay indoors in a kids' club. The lady running it, Elena, is very sweet and lovely with children (don't forget mosquito cream for kids as there are mosquitos in the pine forest). The kids club is at an extra charge although really a modest fee of 5 euros per day (10-12 and 3-5 were the opening times). My husband had a very good massage (rates are reasonable, 65 euros for an hour, much cheaper than many of the five stars we have been to). I would say that the hotel is exactly as advertised on the web site, if not even better in real life as the villas have been refurbished with flat screen tvs and new furniture since their web site photos.....a nice surprise. A talented singer/ guitarist provides lovely entertainment three times weekly in the evenings. The hotel fully deserves its four stars (I would rate it between a four and five). The only drawback (for us) was the lengthy dining times in the evening with the children (a kitchen in the villa would have been useful)...the villas are rented on a half board basis....also lunch options are somewhat limited although the location of the lunch grill restaurant is spectacular. Guests were mainly Italian (which was nice as not overrun by foreign tourists....the Italian flavour is well maintained)...a good percentage of Russians too. The mix of generations was good too....families, elderly couples, younger couples.....all ages....Neighbouring public beaches are breathtaking and rated among the best in the world....go to Chia (Su Giudéu was our favourite....excellent snorkelling, Tuerreda also very beautiful)...reachable by car in 15 minutes. Good supermarket in the vicinity was Conad in Pula (about 15 minutes drive....Pula itself is not such an impressive little town). Tip: avoid booking your car through the cheapies at Cagliari airport.....we booked at Thrifty and the waiting queue was 5 hours long! Thankfully we had a back up option at Maggiore....beware of this as it can be a nightmare. As far as Is Morus is concerned, definitely a hotel worth recommending and we would go back.

We spent 1 week in May with our daughter (2 years old) and we enjoyed our stay very much. We had a superior room in the main buiding with balcony and sea view. Room was large: good bed, well decorated. Bathroom is not so modern but OK. The resort is well decorated, very nice atmosphere. Restaurant with sea view. 2 Beaches: one with facilities like shower, WC. Nice view from the pool. Pool clean, hugh garden (=park with old trees). We booked half board: diner was 4 courses, delicious but too much :-) Service was perfect (very few guests as well). There is a play area for children. Lovely place direct on the beach. Maybe not so much to see or visit closed to the hotel. We were there only to relax. A car is needed to go to the next restaurant or café.
