We stayed in Castellammare for five days, and Ristorante Posidonia was recommended to us by our hosts at the B&B we stayed at. We went there four times for dinner, and felt great there.
The restaurant is one of a few situated along the port alley, it offers 10-15 tables on a nicely decorated porch (wooden floor and pillars, a few herbs in pots on rocks), with a nice view to the port. We found the atmosphere warm and cosy.
The service was perfect as well - there were two nice ladies, and we were served by a very friendly lady with a smile on her face, speaking very good English, willing to offer advice on the menu and answer questions.
Let's not forget about the food of course. The specialty of the restaurant is local seafood and pasta. We tried, among others, busiate with shrimp & zuchinni and with eggplant & swordish - delicious.
Last but not least, the prices are on a decent level - around 40-50 EUR for a dinner consisting of antipasti, pasta dish, 1/2l of wine, water, and dessert.
Summing up, we recommend Posidonia to all who like good food and friendly atmosphere of a small restaurant with a family feeling to it.
