Our stay was short, but enjoyable. Everything you would expect from a brand new hotel. Nice, clean, comfortable, free parking, wifi and breakfast. Decent continental breakfast. The mini-suite was nice, although a couple of cons: 1-TV only in the sitting area, 2-bathroom small, 3-the sofa bed was less than comfortable, 4-Bathroom door wouldn't close properly and 5-Can't get the alarm clock to be set at the right time, so what's the point? Nevertheless, at that rate this location would most likely deserve 5 stars, if it weren't for the few points above, especially if it is for a short stay.

We stopped here on the way back from Florida. The property is in nice shape -- everything seemed new. We liked the easy road access. The room was quiet, clean and comfortable. The set up was a little odd, but I suppose it would work best for someone who wanted to separate sleeping from living. Everyone on staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fine. We did not use the pool or the spa area, though there were other people using them.

This hotel is on the same side of the city as the Museum of Fine Arts, to which we were headed, so it worked out quite well for us. Marriott properties apparently have a discount for seniors over 62, which we only learned about on Trip Advisor. We booked from my I Phone on the way over and took advantage of the discount.

We stayed here for a Friday night in November 2013. We were here for the state volleyball championship, and it ended up being a great stay!! It had easy access to downtown Richmond, where the games were held, and it was very close to Short Pump, which is a huge shopping/eating hotspot. There are so many restaurants and shops! We did not have time to explore it all, but we enjoyed driving around!

The hotel's rooms are incredible! They are suite style, so there is a living area with a sleeper sofa with the beds on the other side of the half-wall. There is a TV in the middle so that both the bedroom area and the living room area can see. There was also a nice desk in the living room area and a small kitchenette as well. The bathroom was very clean, and there was a nice closet on the bedroom side. Most importantly, the room was very clean!!

There is an indoor pool and outdoor patio as well. The indoor pool (with a hot tub) is pretty small, but it serves the purpose. There is a small fitness area next to the indoor pool area as well.

The lobby area is very nice! There is a TV with a lot of tables and some lounge furniture. There are also 2 computers and a printer available too. There is a free continental breakfast in the morning. The breakfast wasn't the best one we've had in a hotel before, but it was fine. (There is a Cracker Barrel next door if you don't like it!) We really liked the coffee/hot chocolate bar they had near the continental breakfast area. It is available all day!

Overall, this hotel was great, and the people were very friendly! It is a small hotel so it isn't as spacious as some other hotels, but it was such a clean, nice and comfortable stay. You can really tell that maintenance and housekeeping take a lot of pride in keeping this hotel nice. I think the hotel was built a couple years ago, but it seems like it is brand new! Great stay and a great price!!

The customer service was Great! The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. It was quiet. The hotel has a new feeling. The hotel is located in an area that has ample shopping and places to eat just around the corner.

For the most part I had a very good one night stay at this location. The staff is friendly, the hotel in general is very clean, plus the breakfast was ample. The location was easy to find, has nearby dining and overall was quiet.

The room is large with a walled off living room area with a couch, chair and desk. Seperate area with wet bar, frig and microwave. There are dimmers on the wall by the bed, which is a nice touch. The bed was comfy, but just a little too soft for me. My only complaint was the vent fan in the bathroom was not only not working, the vent itself had lots of dust on it and needed a good cleaning. Otherwise the room was a generous size and clean.

For breakfast there was scrambled eggs, fried potatoes with onions, peppers, and sausage. Also grated cheese, fresh spinach and salsa for toppings. In addition there was the usual make your own waffles, sweet danishes, bagels and breads, cereals and fruit, coffee and juice.

I'd be happy to stay at this location again.

My partner and I stayed here as our home base for visiting a few Richmond sights such as the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts and the Museum of the Confederacy. It was our first stay at a Springhill Suites, and the experience was excellent in all respects.

As a newly retired person, I was pleased at the generous discount rate given to senior citizens. We were able to book our beautiful room for only $81 a night. It was a clean and quiet place to relax at the end of a day of sightseeing on foot. Comfortable sitting area with a sofa and club chair, a large-screen TV which swiveled so that it could also be viewed from the bed. There was a wet bar fully stocked with nice cocktail glasses popcorn packets, a microwave, a coffee maker... but we didn't use any of these amenities.

We did enjoy the copious free breakfast which had many choices, including eggs and sausage, and was attentively replenished by smiling, friendly staff.

The only "down" side was that the hotel was having Internet connection problems on the two days we spent there. There are two computers in the breakfast area, but checking e-mail and researching local restaurants was difficult because a web site either would not load or would suddenly crash. The staff were aware of it and did tell us that a technician would be working on it. This was a very small glitch which didn't detract from the pleasant stay at the hotel, which is so sparkling and well-maintained that it appeared to be a brand new property.

To the right of the front desk is a rack containing pocket-size menus of local restaurants. We had dinner one night at Zorba's, a Greek place where the food and wine were affordable and superb. On the night we ate there, it was "half-price night" on any bottle of wine... quite a nice deal. Zorba's is in a strip mall about 2 miles from the hotel, and it is a little hard to find (tucked away off the main road), but once inside you find yourself in a warm and welcoming atmosphere with subdued lighting and no noise level whatsoever. Very good Greek menu, personable and helpful servers, great place to enjoy comfort food and a glass of wine as you discuss your day.

There are many restaurants within walking distance of the Springhill Suites if you want to just leave your car parked at the hotel and set out on foot for a meal.

We will most certainly look for a Springhill Suites when we plan our next trip.

This is our second time at this property- we stayed here about this time last year. The hotel is still very neat, clean and tidy... The staff were very friendly and helpful. I was a little surprised at the sound insullation... we were on the first floor, and the night we were there, two large groups used the breakfast area for meals/gatherings that got quite loud... you went out into th ehallway, and you could hear the din all the way down to the end... but inside the room, you heard nothing. THAT was awesome. In the morning, you would never have known there were two parties in the breakfast room the night before... everything was neat and clean and ready for the day.
The pool area was clean- much better than last time, and the hot tub was a good temperature, but the pool was frigid. What is the point of having an indoor pool if you are not going to keep it warm enough to swim in?
Bed linens and towels were in good shape. We needed more towels, and a stop at the desk had them delivered in minutes. Beds were comfortable.

Overall, it was quite nice...
