Owner description: The remarkable life and achievements of this famous early 1900s African-American entrepreneur, first woman bank president in the U.S. and social activist are celebrated here with artifacts, photographs and memorabilia.

The story and history surrounding Maggie L. Walker was so inspiring! I thoroughly enjoyed touring her immaculately kept home and taking a bit of history along with me. I will most likely draw upon her story for inspiration in my daily life. If you stick to your convictions, have passion for what you do, you can achieve anything.

This is a must-see when you're touring downtown Richmond's Jackson Ward district for either a niche African-American historical experience and/or for general U.S. history accounts.
