The rooms were what one usually see at a Hyatt Place - spacious with a nice 42" flat screen TV and comfortable beds including the sofa bed. Nice little kitchen area with mini-fridge but surprised to not find a microwave. The service was disappointing from what appeared to be an overworked staff due to rooms being filled with some sporting event attendees (mostly teenagers and their families). When arrived for check in there was no one at the desk and had to go to the lounge to ask for assistance. Check in was quick as I was handed the room card key but not given the typical explanation of hotel services, breakfast hours or elevator locations the person quickly walked off to help out in the lounge. The breakfast area was extremely crowded on both mornings I stayed with no hot food in the warmers and only some fruit, what looked liked hostess doughnuts and breakfast cereal boxes available. There were dirty dishes piled up in the bins and no clean silverware in the empty bins. The two staff members I saw, which included the front desk clerk, were very busy trying to deal with the rush. I am sure this was due to the guests attending the sporting event and all having the same schedule, but the hotel management should have known about this and planned to handle a full hotel. I imagine this is not typical but it did provide for a disappointing visit. Just be aware if the hotel is crowded due to a sport tournament.
