“Great Stay”

This hotel is an excellent choice for a business stay. The staff is helpful and friendly. He beds are comfortable. The rooms are clean and well maintained. Colleagues and I arrived late in the evening for a morning meeting. We sampled a number of small plates in the restaurant, and they were uniformly good. The same can be said for the breakfasts. Overall, a very pleasant stay!

stayed here last week aug 16 and then again on the 23d 2014...i was on my way to outerbanks, this is halfway point. This hotel was very clean and very accomodating for my bichon frise , had pet bowels, etc.... I accidently left my phone charger plugged in the hotel room the first night i stayed.. I realized this as i was on my way to the outerbanks. I called them and asked them if they could go into the room and get it and hold it for me since i would be returning the following weekend when i left the outerbanks. They said no problem however when i got there the following week there was no phone charger and noone seemed to know where it was at. It was my fault for leaving it, but that is why i called... assuming they got busy and didnt go up and grab it and another guest took it. However, i mentioned this to the waiter at the restaruant in the westin and he spoke with the manager and the manager actually said he had a android charger...im not sure if it was in the lost and found or if one of the staff gave up theres for me, but i wasnt expecting that, it wasnt my charger but they let me have it, which was very nice of them. Also during my return stay at the end of the week, i was tired and went to bed about 945PM. my hotel phone rang at 12:15 Am and the lady at the lobby said they got a compliant that i was making too much noise... i assured her it wasnt me and that i had been sleeping for about 2 hours or so and my dog was not barking and was also laying really still...i didnt even have my tv on. she apologized for the inconvinence. I do appreciate the fact that the higher end hotels take complaints serously where as some other hotels it doesnt matter if there are rowdy people. However, as i stated i had been asleep and im assuming whoever complained had the wrong room. I know there is no easy way to tackle this problem short of the staff coming up on the floors and babysitting, but i was a little suprised by the call. I would stay here again it is clean....clean clean

We stayed here on our way back from Virginia Beach. I have to say that I love this hotel. The staff was very friendly and the rooms were very nice! I enjoyed sitting in the hot tub while my daughter was in the pool. I also got to enjoy the exercise facilities. I would definitely stay here again if I am in the area.

My wife and kids were on our way from PA to NC and wanted to stop overnight. I had emailed the GM beforehand to see if he could arrange for some treats to be waiting in the room for my family. He was so accommodating and the room was ready, just as I had requested.

If you want an incredible hotel stay, and an equally incredible staff, you have found it!

I stayed here with my fiance for a family wedding last weekend. Nice hotel (small pool tho) but the restaurant...ugh. The food looks and smells great, and what I ate there (eggs and fruit the first day, GF French Toast the second since I had already squeezed into my dress, ha!) tasted good, but I have Celiac Disease and can't eat anything containing gluten. Our first time eating there we had a waitress who was amazingly knowledgeable about the food and various cooking methods. She helped me choose something safe and personally kept an eye on the kitchen staff while they made it, which was great. This and the GF notations on the menu put me at ease, and I let my guard down. BIG MISTAKE! The second time we ate there (mercifully AFTER the wedding) we had a waiter (Mohammet I think?) who didn't speak the greatest English and I ordered the GF French Toast without inquiring into the cooking methods thinking it would be fine. They must have used a surface shared with gluten ingredients to prepare it because I got SO SICK (and I know everything else I ate that weekend was safe because I mostly bring my own food). It made for a very uncomfortable trip home (three kids in the car and frequent stops so I could destroy every rest stop bathroom up the I-95 corridor from Richmond to New Jersey). The Westin is a beautiful hotel but they need to make sure that if they say something is GF it really is. The experience cast a dark shadow over the entire trip and because of it we will never stay there again!

Comfortable beds, incredible front desk team and just a wonderful and comfortable environment all around. From the moment we arrived, it was service oriented and not just answers but how can I help...... Great Team! The only negative would be a minor issue with late night room service as they were out of food (it was 1:00 am) and the girl was quite terse and put out apparently by the call. Hey it was a Friday night and we had been to late movie.

It did not represent the trip and clearly was an isolated event and not representative and the team and this hotel!

Room Tip: Seemed that all were good choices as we had family all over the hotel and all enjoyed it

Great hotel and service for work meeting. Food was great and really appreciated them making heart-healthy choices for our event. Would recommend this hotel to others for their meetings. Also, sleeping room size was very supportive to folks sharing rooms (larger size rooms, bathroom large with great storage).
