“If you like excellent food. . .”
Reviewed 1 November 2013

Eurasia is the place to go. Although there is another location in VA Beach, this is NOT a chain restaurant, so you are NOT getting pre-packaged, microwaved foods. (If you don't know that that is exactly what you get at chain restaurants, please do a little research.) Meals are prepared by an obviously experienced chef and staff, and the service is excellent but unobtrusive.

To be specific, our party of five shared the fried oysters, spring rolls, and Asian dumplings. All delicious. I have a "thing" about oysters, and these were tasty and crispy.

For entrees, we had the steak frites, crabcake sandwich, Off the Hook Rockafeller, orange chicken stir-fry, and braised lamb curry (a special). All were well-cooked and seasoned, and my friend said that the steak was the best she's had this side of Paris. The lamb was tender, and the roasted root vegetables and the smashed potatoes were to die for. All of us were pleased with what we ordered and what we sampled from each others' plates.

Entrée prices range from app. $15-$28. Considering the taste and preparation, this is reasonable. Décor is somewhat minimalist Asian, which makes for a relaxed atmosphere.

Really love this place!

“Relaxing Dinner”
Reviewed 30 October 2013

Eurasia is a very nice place for lunch or dinner. The food is good and the ambience is soft and mellow. The décor is simple, yet elegant, but can also fit in the casual crowd. Great for a dinner date.

“Not Bad, Oysters were good”
Reviewed 18 September 2013

To start I had the hot and sour soup. It was so salty I couldnt eat it and had to send it back. they did take the cost of it off the check. For an entree I had the Chicken and Soba Noodle Stirfry. The tempura coating on the chicken was good but again the only flavor the rest of the dish had was salty. Didnt finish it. My husband had the fried oyster appitizer. He said it was good. Nice breading to oyster ratio. He had the crab cake sandwich for dinner. Said it was a bit small but not bad. My son had the hamburger which he said was the best hamburger ever! The service was excellent!

“A Gem in Richmond's West End”
Reviewed 4 June 2013

While recently attending my wife's college reunion in Richmond, we had the pleasure of dining with friends at Eurasia. The evening was perfect! Eurasia is conveniently located in the west end of Richmond on Gaskins Road. There's easy access from almost anywhere in the Richmond Metro area (via I-64 or Patterson Ave.) and parking is plentiful. Eurasia is a thoroughly professional operation. The ambience is light and friendly in the manor of a neighborhood bistro. The atmosphere is lively without being overwhelming. We were greeted promptly by Brandon the manager and seated at our table which was ready and waiting. Drink orders were taken without delay and quickly delivered. We shared a crisp French Sauvignon Blanc from the excellent wine list. Our server Suzanne was first rate and got everything right the first time even when some of our party requested some deviations from the menu items as normally prepared and served. The menu is varied and interesting with some familiar standards, several daily specials and also Asian inspired fusion items. Everyone in our party had no trouble filling their varied tastes. The food was perfect. Our own party enjoyed southern Caprese salad, beef tenderloin with risotto and grilled asparagus, lump crab cakes with fresh corn sauce and red beans and rice, and even the house burger with skinny fries (which the diner declared the best he ever had!). All were thoroughly delicious and only clean plates left our table. Kudos to Chef Will and his capable kitchen staff for a job very well done. Eurasia provided us an excellent dinner with excellent service at an excellent value. Whenever we are in Richmond we will be sure to enjoy Eurasia again.
