The trolley is a good thing to do in Richmond but don't do it just to see monument avenue. You can't see the monuments from the trolley. By walking or driving a car you can see the hero's of the confederacy such as J.E.B. Stuart and General Robert E. Lee. At the end of the avenue is a monument that doesn't fit in with the civil war theme. It's a statue of tennis great Arthur Ashe. Arthur grew up in Richmond and after his successful career put money back into Richmond for educational programs. Their are several more monuments to be seen so check this famous street out.
