Such a great tour of a Tudor home filled with rare furnishings of the period. All the pieces were amazing, I was especially impressed with the collection of instruments from the 16th century as well as the craftsmanship of the massive wooden beds. That these things have withstood the test of time is truly remarkable. Our tour guide was very lovely and happened to hail from the same area of England as the house. Her stories and accent made the day that much more memorable.

Admission was very reasonable, they offer discounted rates for students and seniors.

Due to the frailty of the items photography is not allowed inside the house...however an informative book is available for purchase in the gift shop that includes photos of many of the pieces. And of course photography is allowed outside, which you will want to take advantage of when visiting the gardens.

Lovely home and gardens. The plant lovers could easily spend half a day enjoying the gardens though they could use more attention then they seem to be getting. The house is a step back in time with beautiful carved wood, period furnishing and knowledgeable tour guides. Well worth the trip out of the way.

Excellent performance of Shakespeare's Midsummer Night's Dream with the Hensley Park Theater Cast in an Elizabethan environment with gorgeous gardens. Many brought picnic dinners and ate on the grounds. No bad seat, an intimate setting.

Wow! This place is incredible! We have lived in richmond many years. It finally took my daughter and son in law to take us to this amazing mansion and grounds. What a grand, picture perfect view. The mansion is a sight to behold, full of history. Imported from its original location in England. A short film provided a great intro. The tour Gide was also very forthcoming with information and knowledge.
