“Nothing Indian”
Reviewed 1 December 2013

There is nothing Indian about Lemon Cuisine of India, neither the food nor its hospitality. The server started the menu with telling a history of Indian food culture and took several minutes to bring in entrees to start, followed by rice and naan. An interesting sequence!

“Disappointing”
Reviewed 30 November 2013

This was my second visit to Lemon Cuisine; the first had been positive. Yesterday it seemed that they were not ready to serve lunch at 12:30. We had to wait for a host (at least 5 minutes) to speak to us in a nearly empty restaurant. It seemed the server was offended that we were not each ordering an entree (2 entrees for 3 adults) and we had to wait a very long time for our food, as if they had to go to the store to buy the ingredients. When we went to wash our hands we found the ladies room to be shabby and not stocked with paper towels; the lack of paper towels was also a problem in the men's room. I'm sure that none of us will return to this restaurant.

“If you like Indian cuisine, you'll love this”
Reviewed 25 November 2013

We didn't know much about Indian cuisine, but found this place across the street from our hotel (Comfort Inn Convention Center, another good choice in Richmond). Justin, our server, was wonderful--personable, professional, and patient with folks who could hardly understand the menu. And the food was excellent! We ordered Samosa Chaat for an appetizer, which was very filling, so we shared an entree (Seafood Biryani) and still had food to take back to the hotel. Portions are generous, even for hearty eaters like us, and they are perfectly prepared. If you like Indian cuisine, you'll love this place. If you haven't tried it yet, this is a terrific place to do so.

“Exactly what you want”
Reviewed 16 October 2013

My husband and I decided to stop here on a long drive down 95 South because it had good reviews and was easy to get to from the freeway and we're going to make this our official stop on our drives! This is the *perfect* lunch destination.

When we arrived, we were greeted in a friendly and polite manner by a nice young waiter. He explained their lunch custom of bringing a soup or salad before your meal and a little dessert after--you can also order whatever appetizers and things you want, but this is their special thing.

We ordered Lamb Mango and Chicken Tikka Masala for our entrees and I could have packed away about three more helpings of that lamb. The portions weren't that big, but they were very flavorful.

As a Celiac who has to eat gluten free, I left this restaurant feeling so full and happy. I highly recommend this to anyone who likes Indian food or to those who haven't yet tried it.
