We visited Carytown today and stopped at Mary Angela's for lunch. My husband ordered a small pepperoni pizza and I ordered a slice of cheese and mushroom pizza. The crust was thin and crispy, the sauce was very tomatoey, and the cheese was runny and delicious. There were so many mushrooms on the top that I could hardly see the cheese! The waitress was funny and attentive. The restaurant was small, but they made good use of the space. They also had subs, pasta dishes and salads plus I noticed they had cheesecake and canoli's for dessert. I would definitely visit this restaurant again. Our total bill was $13 and some change.

We stopped here for lunch on our way to the VOMA. There were three of us, so we ordered a 14-inch pizza, which was quite enough.

As others have said, the place is small, so if you go during peak hours, you may have a hard time finding a place to sit.

If you live in Richmond and are not familiar with this iconic pizza/sub shop, shame on you! It's located further up in Carytown (near Kroger) and features some amazing pizza and subs! If you are looking to dine in, it's a smaller place so don't get your panties bunched up if you go during peak hours and there are no tables. I would recommend ordering a pizza if it's your first time, but definitely don't skip out on their subs! Great food!

Stopped here with another couple after shopping in the Carytown area. We had the garlic bread with dipping sauce followed by pizza; both were very yummy. Liked the flavor of the sauce and the thin pizza crust. Service was very good; helpful server and courteous check out.
