Description: It‘s Star-lite now, and hopefully forever. But this location was originally home to Soble‘s and his famous burgers from 1987 to 2000. Devil‘s Kitchen was next (but only for a little while) and then we took over in late 2001. Ever since, 2600 West Main Street has been Star-lite . . . just the way we like it. As a tribute, we still offer the famous "Soble‘s burger" and of course — if it ain‘t broke, don‘t fix it — we‘ve kept the neighborhood bar atmosphere that‘s kept this place so popular in the Fan for decades.

I like how the "Crab Bennie" says on the menu that the crab cake is served with lump crabmeat and Canadian bacon. The truth is that it is served with frozen smashed cheap claw meat and sliced sandwich ham (the kind that is all blended together then reformed as a ball then cooked) not the real stuff, which is taken from the lean, tender eye of the loin. Not to mention I have a feeling that the hollandaise sauce came from a can. An egg Mc.Muffin would have been better and more honest. I just think when you take your hard earned money and decide to go out, you should get what the menu says you are ordering.

Go early if you want to eat. Get a few drinks and leave by 10. That's when all the pin stripe shirt wearing jackasses roll out to troll for girls in empire waist shirts. The place gets crowded like a japanese subway train at rush hour. It can be fun if that's your scene.
