“Ups and Downs in Richmond”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 June 2014

This restaurant has a really interesting wine list, with some unusual wines for an American Italian restaurant. The place physically is very attractive. But we were seated in a cold draft. Service at brunch was really slow. Our waiter seemed more interested in the tennis tournament on the TV in the bar than he did serving us. We were served muffins that looked like someone else had already taken a bite out of them. We asked for bread and had to ask another waiter before we ever got any. We had the brunch servings of pasta and the flavors were either bland or "off" somehow. We will not go back.

“Very good ”

We had a large group and had great food at a good value. Get the Salmon Caesar. Vegetable Lasagne was also very good. Try this one.

“Brunch bummer”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 March 2014 via mobile

My husband and I went to brunch today and were very disappointed in the quality of the food and service. We waited a very long time after ordering our food and when it was served it was lukewarm at best. The hash browns were tasteless and had a "glob" of cheese on the top. Our server, Brad, was rude when my husband asked where his hash browns were as he thought they were included with his entree.( as it turned out, they were not worth asking for). This was our first time Azzuro's and we will not be going back.

“Always a great food at a great value”

The fresh pasta is fabulous, as are the salads and fish dishes. The preparations are always creative, even on old standbys.

“Wonderful Place”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 February 2014

This restaurant has wonderful atmosphere, fabulous food, and terrific service. The wine selection was very good also. One of the specials was shrimp scampi, but they were very accommodating to switch to chicken, and it was wonderful. Others at my table were very happy with the veal parm, crab meat risotto, and big tasty salads. The fireplace was blazing, making it a cozy place to enjoy the experience. I definitely recommend this restaurant if you're in the area.
