We stopped in Henrico, VA on the way to Emerald Isle,NC. After checking into the hotel, we stumbled upon this hidden treasure in Westland Shopping Center, right across the street from our hotel. As we were pleasantly greeted by Chris, the "maître d", he escorted us to our table and then gave us our menus, as well as his recommendations. His menu suggestions were spot on! All of the food served to our four person party was piping hot and delicious. The service was attentive and very accommodating. Very nice family atmosphere. Very surprised how empty it was on a Saturday evening. More people need to know about this place. Highly recommend the linguini salla note and Nicks rolls. And listen to Chris when he gives his recommendations. He never lies.

We travel to Virginia at least four times per year and ever since my cousin introduced us to Nick's Roman Terrace over twenty years ago, we make sure to stop in for dinner. Due to travel time, we have not eaten breakfast at Nick's but after reading other reviews, I think we will be making time on our next trip to do this. We LOVE Nick's! I agree with another reviewer that the décor is a little distracting but we go for the food and the model train, Christmas tree and strip mall location aside, the food is GOOD! The rolls, oh the rolls! They are huge, piping hot, made on location, and are the perfect vehicle to transport melted butter to your mouth. The salad is good: freshly prepared with an assortment of lettuces, tomatoes, pepperoncini, Greek olives, and homemade dressing. Do not fill up on rolls and salad as tempting as this may be because your entrée is on it's way and it is huge, hot and delicious. I typically eat one roll, get my salad to go, and take the remainder of my entrée with me for a repeat meal the next night. The Eggplant Parmesan is especially good as it doesn't suffer from either the greasiness or sogginess that characterize some other restaurant's preparation. It is served over spaghetti and Marinara, then covered with Mozzarella and baked. My husband thinks the Chicken Masala and Lasagna are very good but we have never been disappointed with anything we have ordered. The prices are reasonable and service has always been attentive. Overall, Nick's is a definite win!

Nick's is tucked in a little shopping center on West Broad St and has very tasty meals. Our last trip there was lunch and it was delicious. The decor is well done and they have a separate bar area off to one side. The staff was extra caring and friendly. Lots to choose from on their menu.
We have not been to their Sunday Brunch yet but we have heard from friends that it is really good too. If you want to try somewhere different, get good food and good atmosphere...try Nick's out. It may quickly become your favorite little get away for reasonable priced good food. We've never tried to call ahead for reservations.

Don't let the looks scare you, and when you enter there is always a Christmas tree and 3 huge chandeliers, I go to restaurants because of the food and not for the looks, try the Veal Marsala, or Scallopini, real good, reasonable prices, perhaps you will meet the owner which is quite a character.

We had friends who were in Richmond for a medical appointment, and so they joined us for dinner here. Everyone enjoyed their dinner, we had 3 take -home boxes out of the 4 of us, service was fast and friendly, and Tony the owner stopped by to check on us , and told us several interesting and funny stories about his coming to the US from Greece, and how he finally ended up buying and running Nicks from the original owner. Can't wait to go back again next time we visit Richmond!!
