The Daily is located in popular Carytown and features "organic, all natural, local and sustainable ingredients as much as possible while still keeping our prices fair. In addition, we also offer an extensive selection of vegetarian, vegan, gluten free and paleo options." The fish tacos were tasty but not exceptional. And the vegan coconut ice cream with organic berries & roasted hazelnuts wasn't ice cream at all but a strange substance with an unusual consistency. I couldn't taste coconut and after a couple of bites left the rest in the dish. I love desserts and for me to not scrape the bowl let alone leave so much uneaten tells you something. The Daily isn't for me.

The décor is just sooo beautiful at this place, both during the day and at night.

We were there for breakfast. The omelets were good, and the hash browns tasty. We also enjoyed fresh squeezed juice and our friendly, cheerful server. All on their lovely outdoor patio.

Why won't I give them 5 stars? Bad pastries. The almond croissant was like a stale rock, and the regular croissant was not flaky at all. Rather tasted like something purchased in bulk at Costco. So, management, step up the pastry quality please!

We had brunch and it was fabulous. The menu had vegan, gluten free and paleo options.
We had the breakfast burrito and the huevos rancheros. Both were well presented and very good.
We ate outside, but the inside was well appointed with a huge bar.
The wait staff was very friendly and knowledgeable.
We will return when we are in Richmond again.

Have been a couple of times and the energy at the bar on a weekend evening is great! Lively atmosphere, fun staff. Bartenders are very knowledgeable and friendly. We have yet to eat there but for drinks and an enjoyable evening it is a great place to go.

We stopped in at the Daily Kitchen for an early lunch, and our first impression was that it would be a great place to recommend to a friend who is a vegan. There were plenty of interesting vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free and dairy-free options, including the opportunity to mix any three of the vegetable sides to make a 'Vegetable Plate'. We opted to share a serve of the Fried Oyster starter, served with a garlic sauce and a house-made tomato-based hot sauce, which was more than sufficient as a starter for two. Only wanting a small meal, we each chose another starter instead of a main course, and looking at plates being carried past us, we made the right decision, as the main courses certainly looked generous. Our choices of Calamari, served with a red capsicum sauce and cleverly accompanied by slivers of deep fried capsicum, and Pan Seared Scallops with a delicately curried sweetcorn sauce and fresh coriander (cilantro) were perfectly cooked and delicious. Service was very friendly and efficient, and the decor is fresh and fun. Reasonably priced meal for the quality. Recommended!
