I took my children, ages 2, 5, and 12, to the Meadow Farm Museum. We absolutely loved it! They could run wild on the trails and through the grass. They got to see the animals up close including sheep, chickens, a turkey, hogs (named George and Martha as they came from Mount Vernon), cows, horses, and sheep. We also saw wildlife like frogs, dragonflies and butterflies. We took a brief tour of the original farm house built in 1810 (house additions from 1820 on). Such a wealth of information!
I had every intention to hit the playground, but we spent nearly three hours just in the farm and museum protion of the property. We will definitely be going back!
