I sayed at this wondeful B&B while in Richmond on business for 3 days and 2 nights. I couldn't have been more pleased. It was both classy and homelike. The location was close to downtown, but located in a lovely historic neghborhood away from the city's hustle and bustle.
I stayed in the Carriage House for $100 a night. A great bargain! It was very comfortable and had everything I needed. The refridgerator was stocked with drinks and there were fresh flowers in the room when I arrived. The Carriage House is located in a separate building off the large patio and had its own porch with a table and chairs. The grounds were very attractive and I enjoyed watching the squirrels playing in the yard. I was also able to park beside the Carriage House which was very convenient for me. A nice desk and free wireless internet service was offered and easy to access - essential to my stay and rarely easy at hotels.
Anna, the innkeeper, was very professionsal, pleasant, and accomodating. I felt very pampered while staying there. She even brought snacks of cheese and fruit to my room when my schedule didn't jive with the rest of the guests.
I have to say that breakfast was one of my favorite things about my stay. The food was plentiful and delicious. She offered an array of food including bacon and scrambled eggs to die for, fresh strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries, yogurt, muffins, pastries, juice, and coffee. The food, along with converstation with the other guests, was a great start to the day!
I highly reccomend this B&B and will definitely stay there again.
